Austin is excellent in my opinion especially the Barton Creek area, its honestly a beautiful place in the hills, now as you know every city has its downfalls and shitty parts of town but Austin is a very liberal, laid back town. I go at least once a month for aesthetic purposes. ------------------ | ||

Thanks guys, I'm a pretty libertarian type of guy, along the lines of you do your thing, I'll do mine sorta stuff. So I think I could dig a town like Austin. Well, although I'm an Aggie who bleeds maroon, I do have to say that Austin's a cool town--I actually used to live in Round Rock--which is about 20 minutes away--and liked it, too. I have a ton of friends that go to t.u.--but I don't hold it against them, LOL!--and they all love it, I'm just a little too conservative for that school, hence why I love College Station and Texas A&M...drop NatyMike and e-mail, he's a t-sip... ------------------ | ||

Austin rules bro. Fun place to go, college party town to put it simple. I only go there to party so thats why I think its a blast, I dont live there so I dont know the down sides, if any. | ||

Austin is definatley the best city in Texas, its clean, beautiful, fun, the only problem is traffic and high rent. I forgot the exact number but there are a SHITLOAD of people moving to Austin every year. As a result of that, the traffic has increased, and the rent has skyrocketed. Some people choose to live in Round Rock or Georgetown and drive 45-an hour to work every day to save money on rent charges. The freeway system is built for a small city, so they are doing crazy construction all the time to try to fix it. So aside for those pitfalls, After living here for 3 years, I would never live anywere else in Texas. ------------------ |
