I saw him in a recent Special Olympics in asia, he was wearing a yellow short sleeve shirt, he flexed for the cameras...and needless to say his arms are in great condition..they still have the lines, and size. How big are his arms...i know they were 22" back in the day.     | ||

His arms were never 22", I remember his biggest was 19.8" or basically 20" Now I'd say he's what, 16"? 17" maybe? ------------------ | ||

they still look pretty damn big. they were 22.5 inches at peak. some of the biggest and best arms that have ever been in bodybuilding. and there still over 18" for sure. | ||

Buddy, today's pros hover around the 22" mark, and they are all over 300lbs!!! So explain to me how Arnie at 235lbs has 22" arms? Charles Poliquin is the world's renowned coach for olympic athletes, and several baseball and hockey teams. If this guy's bullshitting, then he's ruining his reputation. Besides, it makes sense what he's talking about. When I started training legs, by arms started growing again! this was a few years ago when I didn't understand body symmetry. It's true that Arnie had great upper body genetics, especially his chest and biceps, but even then he can't possibly have 22.5" arms. 20" yes. Now I'm in no way trying to undermine Arnold Anyway, I'm through talking, no one pays attention to me here anyway, but I still stand by what I believe is right, so there... ------------------ | ||

why the do Ernie Taylor's tricep's look like basketballs??? sorry there is no formula for determining arm size: (bodybuilder A,B,C,D blah, blah, blah.) I'll believe something I've seen with my own eyes over Charles Poliquin the the world's renowned coach for olympic athletes. (what does he know about it?) genetics are not that cut and dry. | ||

man that guys article is complete bullshit...the measurments he took himself do not support his own hypothesis. Bodybuilder A: 286lbs 20.62 inch arms, bodybuilder B: 228 20.25 inch arms. This does not support his supposition that arm size is correlated with over all weight increase. Also, I know charles bronson is no "muscle man" but to say he had 11 inch arms is retarded. Most of the 14 yr old kids on this board have bigger arms than that. |
