Being ethical can be measured in different ways. Some being more ethical than others. But what does that really mean? For example, If I am married and cheat on my wife that is unethical and immoral according to society, but if I never steal from work, never harass anyone, and always do the best job I can I can be considered to be ethical. Now, which one out ways the other? Which would make me more ethical than an opponent?

Were they overzealous? Tough call. How important to you is it to have a leader with integirity? If it's important, then they didn't go too far. It matters to me, especially while I was in the Army.

Those who say they are sick of paying taxes (that takes care of others) needs to look at how much of the budget is actually spent on welfare and similar programs...less than 5%

The largest chunk in the budget is for the Military...about 30%.

So technically you are correct, you are paying to take care of others (of the world) through the military, since the US is a world hedgemon. And Republicans are in favor of more military spending. Therefore you are mad at the wrong party.
