He was 5'5",and his arms were about 17" in his early Oly's.The last one that he won,his guns were likely 18"(dense and thicker than fuck)but his legs were always weak.Great back,and abs...K.O. ------------------ | ||

He weighed about 190. His arms were, if I remember correctly, 16 5/8" cold. Yeah, he had shitty legs, and he had a bad case of gyno when he won his second O, but his upper body development was quite good for the day. | ||

He kicked ass man. He and Arnie were lifting partners, but I heard Franco's max lifts wer higher in every damn lift. Isn't Franco one of the rare people to bench press more than 3 times their body weight? He was f*<kin impressive, even if he did decide to become a chiropractor. LOL! Peace! ------------------ | ||

dude his arms HAD to be bigger than that, you watch posedowns with arnold (22.25") guns would have made franco look like a stick figure if he had 17" arms fuck and my arms are 16.75 and there's NO WAY there as big as franco's!!!!!!!!1 | ||

The pumping Iron stats are exaggerated BS. They also say Franco is 5'7". Columbu is actually between 5'3" and 5'5" (just check his web page, where there is a picture of the 5'6" Burt Reynolds towering over him). Except for the his last Olympia, he was not much over 180 for any contest. I talked with an Old time PLer who officiated a meet that Franco entered in during the off-season in the late 70's. This guy was the one who weighed him in, and said he was 173. As for the arm size thing, keep this in mind: Danny Padilla, another short BBer (5'1" or something) had what appeared to be huge arms, yet they were only 17". Franco had an oddly proportuned build (alot like Ed Coan's)that helped him excel in powerlifting. | ||

Well, nobody took me up on my question, so I'll answer it: Franco played a Terminator in teh first Terminator movie. He played the Terminator that invades the rebel base camp and starts shooting the place up. Nice of Arnold to squeeze him in! ------------------ | ||

just watched pumping iron again, flipped through "arnolds encyclopedia of bb." those guns were def bigger than 17" flat. no they weren't 20" but def around the 18" range. there is no way he could stand next to arnold and still look as powerful and huge as he did. franco is 5'5" if I remember correctly. btw: his legs look good to me! of subject: my friend's got a franco build so similar it's scary! and his dad looks JUST like franco. It's trippy! My friends back is freaking opening like a curtain since he's been lifting with me. he's 5'5" 162lbs. Huge back, chest. decent arms. but small legs. |
