First time I've tried 20 Rep Squats....goddamn!! I was concerned that I would pass out around the 17th rep... these aren't breathing squats where you do 10, rest for a minute and do 10 more, I'm talking about straight 20..I could only use 235 lbs..

While on the topic, is it possible/likely to have a heart attack from doing shit like squats, deadlifts, leg presses etc...? I take an ECA stack before I go workout and sometimes I feel like I'm gonna pass the fuck out. It's not a bad feeling, and I've been doing it ok for quite awhile now, but I want to be safe.

I've never clocked my heartbeat at over 120 BPM though...

I love the 20-rep Squat! It's the heart of my present routine!
Of course it's embarassing to use so little weight.
I gets nice and sore!

When doing cardio I can get my heart rate up to 160 with no problem... I start to feel sick around 170 and have to pull back.

There is no way I can do 20 squats with with 235.. were you using a rack?

You mean the a power rack? I'm embarrassed to say I can't remember the name of the one where it has the notches for the olympic bar starting at the bottom and then slopes upwards...anyway, that's what I used.

BTW- Am I the only one who gets uncontrollably horny after squatting? Goddamn....I need some pussy. I tried to chase a dog down on the way home but the old lady walking it got pissed.

I know what rack you are talking about with the slope.. my gym used to have one of those but they got rid of it.

I've never gotten horny from squatting.. hmm.. sometimes I felt like I wanted to sleep.

yeah I get horny to after squatting....apparently heavy leg work raises your test levels ever so slightly.

Endorphins are released in the brain too....sort of a natural morphine....

Sorry Johnny O-ring, my ass is....my ass and you can't have it buddy. I'm sure there are plenty of other 18 year olds out there to molest. LOL

Seriously, I'm not gay though...I like/hate girls way to much to be gay. I'm not homophobic either though so I don't mind joking around...

Chesty- I'm not talking about right after a set...after a set I'm really dizzy and I don't feel well...I'm talking about the 1-3 hours after the workout..

So am I. I am not right for at least two to three days afterwards. Last week my legs were non-functional for 6 days. I couldn't have sex if I wanted to, they were so fried.

For warmup I do Hyperextensions Leg Extensions Leg Curls, and one warmup squat set.

When getting down to business I alternate from heavy 6 reps, with light 20 reps.

Squats 4 sets
Leg Press 2 sets
Straight Leg Dead Lifts 2 sets
Leg Curls 2 Sets
Calf Raises 4 Sets

There's someone who does straight leg dead lifts on a box.. looks painful!

I just started using the box for Straight Leg Dead Lifts, same weight but a couple less reps. Gives a hell of a stretch, but boy is form ever crucial. Oh and pain, Oh yeah baby ! Give it a try. As for the 20 reps squats, never tried them, but now I have something to look forward to next leg day.

20 reps seems a bit excessive. I like doing 10 set of 15 reps with 225lbs for squats. Last week I felt like puking after the 7th set. Try it and I'm sure you'll like it just as much as I do. Eat something an hour or two before so you don't get a headache.
