I wanna see how many of you use or really like using Swiss Balls in your training ? And what exercise(s) do you use them for??
I use them for chest, biceps, shoulders, abs , and also for core strengthening(like kneeling on it while keeping my back straight(with dumbells in hand).
I started using the ball a few years back because of some injuries and now have found it to be a mainstay in my routine.
I have gotten pretty strong on some of the exercises and get some "Aren't you going to kill yourself or fall off?"WhenIam doing chest dumbell presses with 150 lb dumbells for 6 reps or some kind of balance exercise.
I have also really enjoyed "preacher" curls with the ball. I get outrageous pumps and really good growth from these.
I am forced due to irritated shoulders to use the ball instead of barbells (can tolerated some regular DB work) but have found these presses to give me a really good chest workout . I notice a deeper chest due to the increased pec minor involvement in doing the presses on the ball.
Share your experiences.

I think it's a great tool. When I train people I usally include one or two exercises that are with the swiss ball.
I sometimes do squats while standing on them.
Do my bench press and shoulder presses on there as well.
It's a excellent tool for strengthning your core.

i friend of mine who is a trainer is into that..he can stand on the ball and squat with like 60 pounds dumbells..he does everything on there..he taught me a bit on it and this is what i learned..when u use the swiss ball it is called integraded excersize not isolation...it works many muscles instead of just working the abs...he said that pro bodybuilders may have ripped abs but there abs are not fully functional and they can make your shoulders hunch to the front more because when you do crunches yuo go 30 degrees up but you should be able to go down 40 degrees, but you cant because the floor restricts you..if anyone wants i get the name of the book he studies and tell it to anyone because he is the best fucking shape ever...

peace
