I DONT... CUFFS ARE BAD.

DO YOU? WHAT DO YOU DO FOR CHEST?

I USE A COMBO OF THE FOLLOWING...

DB INCLINE, INCLINE BENCH, FLYES, LOW CABLE FLYES, HAMMER MACHINES WIDEGRIP, AND INCLINE ISO...

I USE A MIXTURE OF THESE...

I don't flat bench because...

1. My chest grows easily without it.

2. It hurts my shoulder.

3. I'd rather brag about my genitalia.

I don't do it that often, but I do a lot of dumbbell and cable work.

I THINK FLAT IS THE MOST OVER RATED TEST OF STRENGTH OUT THERE... I MEAN, HOW OFTEN ARE YOU LAYING DOWN AND PUSHING SOMETHING UP IN EVERY DAY LIFE???

HOW MUCH DO YOU BENCH? I LAUGH AND SAY 135 ON A GOOD DAY... WHICH IS TRUE, THOUGH I WAS ABLE TO DO WELL OVER 100LB D.B.'S LAST CYCLE ON INCLINE... SHOULDERS ARE DEAD, OH WELL.

I used to do monster decline when I was powerlifting, but I really have an over develope lower chest now and I do flat bench now, but I only work it to the neck and not below the nipples because of this. I do alot of incline dumbells.

I like DB press the best, barbell fucks with my shoulder. and I can't go as heavy on barbell? weird. I'm up to 100's on inclince too!! yeeeha!: that first rep is hard to get up but I can pound out a good 5-7 reps with no spot. Anyway...

Flat bench doesn't work so good for my chest, my shoulders, tri's hog all the push and my chest barely feels much stress. Incline Flye's have given me alot of mass too, I do them with alot of tricep involvent: it's a hybrid between a press and a flye, done with the palms facing toward each other. It works best for me.

Any of you guys ever try this:
Put a bench between the cables, sit on it and strap the low cables to your wrists, grab a couple of dumbells, lay back and press.
Wierd at first, but this kicks ass. Combination between dumbell presses and flyes.

I use the decline press with the bars being equal height to my shoulders. I weigh 118 to
120. I can do 208 lbs for two sets of 4 reps
per set. Yes this is rather extreme for my size, but no pain no gain. I have done 218 for three reps, but I will have to work at it some more. I find a 100 to 158 to easy now.

Damn dog you weigh 120?

I don't decline, I think for most people its a waiste. I think incines are more productive for the look most people want over flat bench, but declines IMHO are just about worthless for most of us. I do throw it in but very seldomly (1 a month maybe).

I do flat, incline, cables, hammer strength, and flies. I like to dumbells but my training partner is kinda scared of them. So I seldom work them in =(

Incline's are great. they pay off well because of the great chest/delt separation you get. also the mass by the colar bone is freaky, combine that with huge traps. You've got yourself a gearthy upperbody!

Slopain is correct. I see little benifit for BB's to do decline unless they are trying brake a sticking point on flat bench. Decline is a powerlifting movement only in my opinion. Just a not if you bench 405lbs flat you should be about to do around 450lbs decline.

my upper chest aint bad, but it is pretty out of proportion compared to my over-developed lower....god no i never do declines...some chest days i only do declines...and i always do them first in the routine...

you see so many guys cheating themselves when they do inclines...humping with that pelvis, turning the movement back into a flat press....keep the weight down and the form up...

I usually alternate 2 weeks starting off with incline bb then 2 weeks flat bb.As far as bodybuilding & the overall apperance of
your chest on stage your better off to hit
incline more often. All through H.S. I had one of those cheap Weider benches that you
couldn't do incline on,some of you older bros
know what im talking about.Anyway for like my first 2 years of training all I did was flat bench. After a while my chest looked deformed.Big lower chest but no upper. So for
like a year straight all I did was incline.

HAMMER STRENGTH IS A LINE OF EQUIPMENT.
IT CAN BE FOUND IN MOST WELL EQUIPPED GYM'S
ARTHUR JONES SON USE TO BE THE OWNER OF HAMMER STRENGTH. ARTHUR JONES INVENTED THE NAUTILUS MACHINES.

FLAT BENCH IS WAY OVER RATED BUT FOR THE BEGINNER IT DOES HAVE SOME MERIT.
IT'S IMPOSSIBLE TO HAVE TOO LARGE AN UPPER CHEST, IT'S WHAT MOST LIFTERS LACK.
PUT TWO INCLINE MOVEMENTS IN YOUR ROUTINE.

I havent done flat bench ever since I started HIT training...which has been a little over a year now. Flat bench seemed to hurt my shoulders when I did it...but I can do incline just fine with no problems-go figure
