NICE!!! I AM HOPING MINE WILL TOP OUT AROUND 80, BUT ANYTHING OVER 70 FOR A FEMALE IS PRETTY DAMN BIG FOR A DOBE. THE VET HAS A ROT/DOBE MIX, PEYTON IS HIS NAME... THAT FUCKIN THING HAD TO DUCK HIS HEAD DOWN TO SNIFF MY BALLS... AND I AM 6'1" SOMEHOW THEY SAY HE ONLY WEIGHS 116... I THOUGHT HE WAS 150 EASY... FUCKIN HUGE, BUT HAS THE DOBE LEGS, LONGER AND SKINNIER. | ||

Madbomber, I was thinking of getting a dobe, the thing is I live in Arkansas and there are not any other dogs here except for Labs and Pits. What is there temperment like? I have a lot of neices and nephews and I would hate for my dog to bite one them.... greener | ||

they have a reputation because they used to be very inbred and are used as junkyard dogs... they are very protective... so if you have a kid and that kid gets hurt by another, even through play... the kid who hurt yours is in big trouble. they are a great dog, very high energy... SUPER smart. great pets... very loyal... if you ever own one, you will not be unhappy... puppy training can be a bitch, they are chewers and bite to soothe the gums... this is my second one... i think special bill has had 5... i wouldnt trade the breed in for the world. |
