There are a few things that I like about Nader. He is definitely his own man, and does not give a damn about what the other candidates or the media thinks about him. However I think he is living a pipe dream. He is not even on the ballot in every state. Traditionally all that third party candidates have done is take away conservative republican votes, not that there is anything wrong with that. In my opinion voting on third party candidates is unrealistic. sharps | ||

Hey Sharps, the repubs were a third party at one time. You have to start somewhere. And Nader is taking votes away from Gore, not Bush. I like Nader but Bush would give us all some great tax cuts. Im undecided between the two- | ||

Mr. T actually the republicans were never a third party. The first two political parties were the federalists and the Jeffersonian Republicans. The federalists favored a strong central government. Where as the republicans favored states rights. The republicans have been here since the American Constitution was ratified in 1788. Sharps, I believe that the Jeffersonian Republicans eventually became the Democratic Party; and the Republicans were formed in large part due to the impending Southern seperation. I like Bush's attempt to bring personal accountability into education and retirement benefits, so he gets my vote. Also, there's no way in hell I'd ever vote for that fucking lying piece of shit Al Gore. Nader is intriguing, but a little too socialist for my tastes. | ||
