We got our first store opening up and I read that you have to wait 2 hours for 13 of those gut-bombs. My question: Why are they so popular? Do they really taste that good. I mean for me, they would have to taste like a sweet woman in order for Lets hear from all you donut affecionados! ------------------     | ||

Its a nostaglia thing...they are pretty good...and usually Krispy Kreams were only up north... | ||

they are incredible...only get them when the sign is flashing "hot now".... how many have you eaten in one sitting?.. in college, while stoned and drunk, we would get two dozen a piece...we would place one dozen on the roof of the car and eat it in the parking lot, then we would attempt to eat another dozen at home...i have personally eaten 22 of them before... | ||

No Krispy Kremes started in the south. I'm from IL and we never had them I had never heard of them till I moved to Alabama. As far as tassted goes they are incredible, but there is now way I would wait in line for them. Besides donuts do not have a place in my diet right now. Ummmm donut | ||

I can say no to almost any sweets...except Krispy Kreme donuts. And there is one right on the way to my gym! You can smell them as you drive by! Where is the first place you think I headed after my contest? Yes, they did start down south, in Georgia. We had one in my home town of Charleston, SC since the 60s or so. I am glad they are getting the national attention they deserve. You gotta get the plain glazed ones, while they are hot. They will bring you to your knees. | ||

Whoops, my bad. According to their web site, they started in Winston-Salem, NC in 1937. Still the south, though. I think their headquarters is in GA, though. Their web site is kinda fun: http://www.krispykreme.com/ |
