As most of you know, I suffered a minor lower back injury from doing deadlifts about 6 weeks ago. Today was the second time since then that I am to do deadlifts, and I've gotta say, I'm fucking terrified. I lowered the weight and everything from 315 to 295, but I still couldn't get it up 'cause I was scared to push myself.

I CANNOT, REPEAT *CANNOT* hurt myself again. I was so depressed last time I couldn't train, and I'm afraid if I hurt my back again then it'll be more serious. I think I will lower the weight so I can get 6 reps off relatively easy, unfortunately, I don't know how to properly rep the thing. I know how to get it up and down once, but I need to see a .mpeg or something of proper form for repping deadlifts. I've done a search on the net but I was not successful....

first off, warm up you lower back first by grabbing a 45lb (35 in your case) plate and just doing a shitload of controlled semi-straight legged DLs....stretch out your hams...before and between sets....

and start with lower weight on the DL's...i had a terrible lower back 2 months ago, but with a little extra time and care taken during my back days, ive yet to reinjure it....

i attribute most of it to a proper warm up and a better stretch routine...

be careful bro, this shit can haunt you the rest of your life...

oh guess what, i weigh more than you now..

Have ya gone to your dr to get it checked out? You may want to just to be on the safe side, if not for anything else. I'll look into finding an .mpeg to show proper form for ya.

Hey Bloated Bill, thanks for the advice.

I know how good it must make you feel that you weigh more than an 18 year old natty recovering from a back injury, even though it's all water weight thanks to d-bol, I guess if I were you that would be all that got me through the day too.

Naw Rexie, it was just a strain, but I'm just trying to be extra cautious. Neither my mom nor me can afford a doctor's appt. and I'm not sure the insurance would cover it...

It could also be a herniated disk and shit. Be careful dude and lay off the deads for another 6 weeks and take it easy.
