I dj house in NJ and have been listening to it for about 4 years. I am not too familar with the origins, but you can download alot of examples from Napster.com. Just keep doing searches on house music, you will find what your looking for. Any more ?'s just email me.

try going to www.krbe.com

its a Houston radio station but they have some links to the area clubs that play house music...You might be able to find some info on it and you can find the play lists of some of the songs the clubs play...

under the club links The Roxy has as links to some of the Dj's they use with their playlists...

You picked a good topic, 'cause there's so much info on this out there.

Here's a good link: http://www.creativesynth.com/Columns/008_BookReport/BookReport_100.html

Also, you might want to check out these two: http://www.hyperreal.org/ and http://www.skinny.com/

Good luck, bro!

House music may have started in Chicago, but who cares, NY has perfected it and everybody knows NY has the best clubs in the country.
And that's the truth.

shout out to boricua who knows the deal. Check out WWW.Undergroundhouse.com. Its a really informative site and they have tons of links. If you need any help with your paper, e-mail me and I would love to help. BTW, I live in NJ/NY and a lot of the house that is getting played around here is total sh!t that gives good dance music a bad name.

This sounds cool. I've never heard of house music, either.

House music is a type of techno, tends to have a 4/4 beat (Thump, Thump) and a lot of synthesized sounds, I like it, I like trance and euro a lot more though...

My favorite music is House Music. and I have one thing to say:
Not everyone understands house music, It's a spiritual thing, a body thing, a soul thing.

And real good house sounds nothing like techno.
