Finally got the big daddy. I went this morning on got in my stand about 5am. Tired as hell. I sat til 7:45am and there he came. I have been trying to get this deer for three years, I missed him last year. He came down the trail right up wind of me. I pulled back and held it for over a minute. 1000mg of sus helps hold 70lbs back. I was shaking like hell. Shot a muzzy right through him. He fell about 500 yards down the river bed. He dressed at 268 and wad 15 points. This one is going on my wall. I'll post a pic as soon as I get them back..I hope this gets everybody fired up for deer season..It's a good protein source and fun as hell...good luck guys... ------------------     | ||

A shit load of maze, oats, and corn. Feed them year around and manage them..Deer in Oklahoma are pretty big..They said it was the biggest on checked in so far. I've of heard of deer getting that big, but only in Canada..The biggest I killed up to this one was 190 undressed.. [This message has been edited by oubeta (edited October 12, 2000).] | ||

I'm a fellow deer hunter also. It's good to see that you've found a way to incorporate gear into your bowhunting regime. Was that a whitetail deer? If so that was one huge mofo! | ||

I shoot a Airmaster at 82lbs and 28 inch draw. I was shooting a custom Carbon Express 300(dipped and straight fletch) with a Rocket sidewinder 85grain. This year I bought a new High Country Carbon 4-Runner. It was a bad bitch. I was paper tuning and had nice little bullet holes. My friend(douchebag) asked to pull it back. I told him not to dry fire it. Well, guess what?? He did!!! The string slammed his wrist and blood was everywhere!!! The string really cut my friends wrist!!!! I thought nothing happened to the bow, but it bent the lower cam!!! Sucks for me!!! The bow is now at the shop waiting for a new cam. My friend is paying for everything. So my deer total is "0" for this year!!! I am going Sat morning with my Airmaster and passing through whatever comes down the path!!! I need a doe before a buck!! I am on 750 of omna,8 d-bol ED, 400 of deca. 82 lbs shouldn't even be a strain!!! | ||

I am a hunting nut. I too bowhunt, but I hunt elk, there are no whitetails here. I am so damn jealous! I did not get a bull this year cause the rut sucked and I could not get them in close. Do you know what your buck scored? I get to go after mulies in 3 weeks but it is a rifle hunt. Took me 4 years to draw the tag. | ||
