Alright, in the spring of 99 when that whole Colombine thing was a big issue we had a load of death threats at our school and we had to cancel school for a couple days. We came back and there were metal detectors for the remainder of the school year. Now, a year and a half later some dumb fuck decided to make another threat. They graffitied it on the bathroom wall. I am so sick of this. Why are people so stupid? It was such a pain in the ass having those damn metal detectors. Yeah we missed some school but we made it up during exam week by having full days instead of the usual half days. It's not like we're some big inner city school. We're division 1 so we're fairly large, but we're level headed people. Why do some assholes feel the need to ruin it for the rest of us? I'm really frustrated. I used to work for an HMO, and we'd get bomb threats all the time from disgruntled policyholders. We'd all hafta evacuate the building. We'd be laughing, but it was always like, "What if this time...?" | ||

There was a rumor that a shooting was gonan happen in my school on the aniversary of the Columbine incident. Anyways we all knew it wasn't true, but there were still the thoughts. Nothing happened at all that day except the lunch line was a little shorter. ------------------ | ||

Some troubled guy at my High School made this hit list at some point during our last year and some ppl knew about it, but nobody gave a shit about it cuz he was a loser, until the day he got caught with a badass knife and a football helmet in his locker (he didn't play football). Craziest thing is I was on the list and most of my friends too...i got scared shitless. (Warning - Long rant!) :P I'm so sick of this topic! Not only does it disguest me that the whole colombine attack happened. The fact that it REALLY IS happining in every middle/high school is in this! Teenaged society down right sux! (Even being a high school senior myself) I can not stand the crap their pulling in schools, these stupid kids are down right dumb they hate it and want to destroy it because of the high society of athletics which seems to rule most public schools. I get along with both types most of the time I have for years. Though I do have to put the blame and the ugly side of the athletics dept. You people know the type the football players that have done roids since middle school, ride around in 81' Ford pickups and wear dirty jeans and flanal shirts. These are the guys who abuse the kids that are now killing them, in a way they deserve it but not to that extent. The media plays a role in every ones life so it inspires so what that's what it was mostly made to do! It doesn't program kids to act this way society does! Everyone has theroys about what is to blame mainly it is the people who commit the crimes done, but the real reason is because of... parents. Parents encorage their kids to be like them! How many people do you know who act like their parents? Their parents were star athletes or actors, farmers, etc. Sadly most kids turn out this way. A fact that is known is that 42% of ALL parents are negleting their kids on a regular basis. Why, they hate their kid deep down for ruining some point in their life that they can't get back. The bad kids who commit these crimes are in turn responding from their parents ideas to "stand up for yourself", "don't go running for help", and so on. The parents are the ones who teach these kids to hunt fight, and achive that killer instict. That has plaged the new generation. My only hope is that soon these kids will get smart and wise up or two get thrown out of school and shut out of society or away from harming anyone. | ||
