IF I WERE GAY ID BE HESITANT TO VOTE FOR EITHER CANDIDATE AS THEY BOTH THINK "GODS" WAY IS THE ONLY WAY.WHAT THE FUCK.THEY THAT SCARED TO TOLERATE MEN MARRYING MEN.OR ARE THEY SO CAUGHT UP IN THE POLITICAL GAME THAT THEY ARE SCARED TO LOSE THE BIBLE BEATERS VOTES? ------------------ HEAVEN IS THE BACKSEAT OF MY CADILLAC.

Steel neither of them said they would not tolerate gays. They basically said that what people do in privacy is there own business and that they respect them but marriage is "a sacred act involving a man and a woman" I don't see anything wrong with either of there stances | ||

WEll if a man and a man or a woman and woman want to get married they should move to hawaii or whatever new england state it was that legalized it...Reason why I don't think Gay marriages will work Simple the same reason why many men and women who live with each other for over 1 year face...It's classified as common in law marriage...Wether one man or one woman considers it to be, the other if moved out can seek the benefits of that and can legally sue in courts over it...Unless what I learned in my CJ courses is false...Grant it this might varify from state to state I can't verify this. For example if a Gay man and straight man somehow lived together and the straight man kicked the gay man out over it and the gay man decides to sue out of spite...Or women for that matter Grant it it's an extreme example but in this extreme society I wouldn't be surprised to see this happen for I have seen it happen with straight people living together.... Reguardless if anyone likes it or not, we live in a country that was founded with Christian principles in mind, it surrounds us in govt today in our building and on our money...I do not buy it that they intended to think about non christian relgions when forming this country based on the religous persecutions that took place throughtout the countries history...Salem witch burnings, Indian removals from land and forcing religion to them, during the Great imigration periods, Red Scare of the early 1900's and 1950's....these are just a few examples... Toleration is practiced as a whole, but that doesn't mean most of those people like or will give special treatment to anyone because they are gay or lesbian nor should they be forced to respect those choices...just like most people don't believe in special treatment for minorities... The Dem like to scare people into believing that they are the ones protecting them...I'm sorry a handout is a handout...How is it beneficial to teach people to take handouts instead of working for anything including the respect of your peers....I think society today is totally different from the days of the 60's when civil rights were a main issue and needed... The democrats keep pushing the idea to minority groups that the repbulicans want to push them back down and that they will ulitmately affect society that way...and it's just unfounded...The reason why the repeals are being called for is because the Republicans want to take race out of being questioned...it's not that they don't want to protect them from getting jobs cause they can and will...They just feel that protecting gays and lesbians and any other minority group singling them out more will be putting them more at a disadvantage...It's against the law to discriminate based on sex,creed or color as well as sexual orientation....why do we need more laws to protect the laws we have...why not enforce them...cause Al Gore wants us to believe that the laws aren't there...If they weren't there then what has he been doing all this time?? |
