Gore a pompous ass and cannot be trusted. I for one like less taxes for all, like the death penalty, and am very anti liberal. You guys can't honestly tell me that Gore didn't look like he was annoyed to be there and showed very little respect to his opponent. I need help, where is Matt or Dirk? | ||

Well in speaking the truth Bush was correct about the healthcare in this state...The Chips hasn't been in effect in a full year yet... What neither bush nor Gore mention was how many of those people in the statistics are illegal imigrants, and yes they do get counted in the census which Greatly affects the numbers...And yes we have a state plan to help take care of the illegal immigrants that isn't covered with Federal dollars but state dollars...If there was anything bad with Bush Do you think a Democrat state like Texas would have EVER voted for him let alone ReElected him to office...I don't really think so...Bush is just a better man...Gore is a Pussy I wouldn't trust with a damn Potato Gun How can Gore Clearly win a debate when he just sits there and goes Huff after everything being said, not to mention NOT ONCE in either of the debates answering a straight question....I think Minorities and Labor groups are sadly mistaken when backing him...Labor at least cause they have this administration for protecting them the least...Due to their push for Nafta Gore is a Putzz and if he's elected you can pay my college bill and many others when I have to get federal Grants and loans for College cause you better believe that I'm not going to get the few brakes that I have now...Cause Gores Plans will not only hurt my faimly but directly hurt me in staying in College Bush has Changed things for the better in this state... The only reason why houston is said to be the smoggiest city in the country is also political...and If the HOuston Chronicle had it's Article online I would gladly give you a link for it.... EPA regulators made it Known that they weren't checking on 1 particular day for smog in the air...it's Widely believed that Texaco was at fault for releasing the high toxins...for the air around their stacks clearly have indicated after the fact it was them....I believe this was political cause it was known then that one day this would be used against Bush...And that reading was only for 1 day out of 365 I still am betting that we for the other 364 aren't even close to other cities since before and after that day the EPA has given houston a clean bill... If this Democrat state could see the light I wish many of you would...I'm not saying Bush is a great Man but Gore has been caught with his hand in the cookie jar so many times, and is Gutless...I mean the man will do anything to get to power and have things his way...I'm sorry but I don't think it should be up to him how any of our money is spent...the Taxes are paid out of our pockets the democrats want to give it to programs that continue to overspend and underproduce... | ||

Well put College guy, very informative. Mr. H, I believe that the majority of the people like myself can't tell who "wins", I don't give a shit, about how many times they studder or lose their train of thought, or make some other debate mistake, both of them constantly dodge questions, thats natural, I don't really know how you can "win" a debate, and if you do, its by an extremely small margin, so in my opinion,it really doesn't matter, I just care about the issues. Beast--that 4.7 billion statement was true, but shit, if you look at all the illegal immigrants in Texas, there is no way in hell you can grant healthcare to all of them. He made a point that Texas has steadily been improving since he took office, and I think thats important, how the hell could Texas not be at the bottom of the list when compared to other states, there are so many fucking people, the state is huge, bigger than pretty much every other state, so there are going to be more people not getting healthcare, especially when your right next to a country that has immigrants crossing by the thousands. Gore is constantly making Texas a target for his thoughts, but the point is, Bush has improved most of the issues since he took office, you can't immediately fix these issues, it takes time. ------------------ | ||

I actually saw a lot of analyses that said Bush won - CNN and MSNBC, among others. Neither of them really blew me away; it w aslike a fight to see who could be more moderate at times. Most of the discussions I saw were claiming that Bush had a greater impact on undecuided voters because he exceeded what people expected of him. Kind of a backhanded compliment, but reaching undecided's is what these things are all about. In that sense, it appears Bush won. Matt | ||

Personally, I can't see how anyone would want to vote for someone who takes money from the Chinese Army, can't remember being at fundraisers, has backed a President who cheated on his wife a thousand times, lied openly to the country, dodged the draft, smoked dope and so forth. For all intents and purposes he was a slave owner, only difference is the petence to which the servants were paid. Gore, has lied about just everything. He has helped get the Chinese satellite and rocket technology on numerous occasions. Gore came to my state after a tornado ripped through Haysville, what a joke. He made me sick that he was even there. | ||

Ummmm, lets see? Yeah, he even won a war! Gore/Clinton supporters are a brain dead when it comes to reality. Let's see, most of the debt we have now is due to overspending by a democratically controlled congress. They continued to spend money on welfare and othe crap even though the money was not in the bank. And what do liberal and democrats do? They blame the Republicans for their mess. They can't even take responsibility for their fuck ups. I feel better now. | ||

I think the first debate was a toss up with an edge for gore, but this last one was OBVIOUSLY bush's, he was relaxed confident and had the crowd in his favor at the end of thie night. His character showed through personally, where as gore acted kinda like the typical politician. I have no idea how you could argue that gore CLEARLY WON that debate. Slopain |
