Who here owns a celly, pager or some other type of device that allows you to communicate in some form or fashion, I have not owned a pager since 17 and a celly since 18, now 24, I find these items extremely annoying and trendy, cant wait to see everyone with those little pager like instruments with the keyboard and shit.

Have a cell phone (mostly for emergencies - a just in case), but gosh, do these things every become annoying at times!? I think if I had a pager too, I'd throw it into the ocean, i.e. like the guy does in the commercial when he's on vacation.  ------------------ | ||

to be really trendy you should go vintage and use one of those 6 pound ones from the late eighties...they look fat with a "ph" hangin on your hip, pullin your britches down.... | ||

have a cell phone....have had pagers in the past but they were for being on-call for work only. the cell is almost a necessity in my brain, especially for women because it can almost be considered a safety caution. i remember before i had one and my mustang broke down(imagine that) on the way back from a rave in the middle of nowhere and i had to walk 3 miles at about 3:30am to find a gas station and call a tow truck. a cell phone would've saved my ass. yeah they can seem trendy and it pisses me off when i see people yakking on them while they're driving but they are way too convenient. havoc you said you don't believe in bills so i can see why you wouldn't want a cell phone. | ||

I have both and my cell is nationwide local calling and it is MUCH cheaper than having my house phone. J | ||

NEVER HAVE I OWNED ONE, HOPE TO NEVER NEED ONE! My wife had one while she was in Real Estate but she writes now so she doesn't need one and loves not having the constant annoyance. | ||

I have a cell for personal use, dont use it much. And I have a pager from work. Once a month I carry 2 pagers, when Im on call. | ||

2 cells (one personal, one for international calls), 2 pagers (again 1 personal, 1 work related) and one of those "quote, unquote" cell pagey things with the keyboard GPS Satellite Info Exchanger, laptop with wireless modem that I can not be caught dead without. Technology is a burden, but it does keep me rolling well in $$$ and free to do a lot of what I want when I want to do it. No office for this one. | ||

I've got a teenage son.Cell phones are an absolute must in my house.How the hell else do I find him at 2:00 am to tell him to get his ass home. And how would he call me at 2:00 am for a friggin ride home all the time. So they're a necessity,but the next dickhead I see talking on a cell sitting on a weight bench in my gym is gonna have a hard time pulling that motorola out of his ass. | ||

I don't have my own cell. I use my dads mostly cause he doesn't. I think pagers are a waste of money and most people, w/ the exception of doctors I know, have them to look cool. My little cousins have pagers, but the thing is...noone pages them. Cell phones are a necessity though. ------------------ | ||
