Campaign finance reform. Why is no one talking about it, well demos and repubs both get their $ from big business. The problem, people dont give $ without expecting something in return. (No promises for a clean enviornment as long as big oil keeps pumping $ into the two party system) Without reform big business runs America, not the people!    | ||

The people don't run Americal any more, just the 430 congressman and 100 senators do oh yeah, and the president. What a joke, who cares who is paying who, it is a battle of dollars and he with the most wins. Take it all away and they will just inact a tax to cover the election campaigns.  | ||

Yes listen to chesty. The popular vote does not even out. On candidate could get more pop vote, but lose the election, because of the electoral vote. Really screwed huh?!!! | ||

What about those with views that oppose big business? They dont deserve to be heard? Does everyone have to sell out to be heard? Our system was designed to be a citizens government, not a battle between whos daddy had more $. (Bush & Gore) | ||

also there is somewhere in these election things that even if they when the pop vote in the state the rep can vote the other way anyway. It never happens, but it is written that they have the ability. Not sure where though, but I do remember that crap from school. | ||

Twice has the candidate with the least votes won the presidency-1876 Hayes, 1888 Harrison. So it can and did happen. The electoral college is established so dumbasses like you and me do not elect someone no one in washington likes. Oh say, like someone we actually fucking voted for. ------------------ | ||

Chesty: Nader want all hard and soft $ out of politics. Instead he wants a 100 dollar check off box that you could or could not check off on you tax return. That way, the money would come from the people. Not big business who really does not care if your kid lives next door to a toxic waste dump- |
