After much reading, conversation, and some experience w/competitive BB (local level) I have come to the conclusion that the term "Natural Bodybuilding" is in and of itself an oxymoron.......just my .02.

Personally, I do not condone or condemn the use of A/S or any other supp for that matter by educated adults. It all comes down to what an individuals goals are and what they are willing to do to reach them.

We all have to decide for ourselves what price we are willing to pay to reach our own "physique" or competitive goals.

Yea, I do understand your frustration, but you also have to look at it from the pro's points of view. THERE IS NO MONEY IN BB. Those people are just trying to make a buck doing something they love. I used to think it was pretty cheezy of these men and women to sit at an event where they are guest posing selling their autographed 8x10's. I mean, shouldn't they be glad the fans are there to cheer them on? HELL NO - the fans cheering them on is not going to pay their bills. BB is not mainstream. These people are not getting paid millions of dollars to abuse the hell out of their bodies. Heck the Mr/Ms Olympia prize is barely enough to pay for (I'm not EXACLTY sure about the numbers here, but I'm sure that many in the know would be willing to back up my statement.) their last cycle or couple of cycles. With the exception of a very small handfull of individuals ie Rachel McClish, Cory Everson, Lenda Murray, Bev Francis, Frank Zane, Lee Haney, Arnold, Lou Ferrigno......how many world class BB can ANYONE name, let alone those who follow BB? And many of these BB achieved their notariety through other avenues ie movies, cable shows, fitness product lines and the like.

Sad, but true A/S use is ILLEGAL.....so anyone and EVERYONE involved must play the game. It is really unfortunate because many must remain silent or speak in metaphors (I once attended a show where Tom Platz was the guest poser and also gave a seminar. I remember him saying that in order to be a top BB one must possess 3 things 1. Drive 2. Genetics and 3. Technology ....somehow I don't think he was talking about *wink* *wink* Metr-x!). Because of it's illegal status misinformation about A/S runs RAMPANT!

It is because of forums like elite where ANYONE can gain knowledge. We can either remain COMPLELTY ANONYMOUS or give clues or completely reveal our identities. Either way we all have EQUAL ACCESS to THE SAME information!

So, My Brotha - feel free to vent. But then, after your anger has abated, GET EDUCATED. Remember KNOWLEDGE IS POWER.

hehe, i wish my mom would have told that kind of bedtime story when i was a kid...

i'm not taking anything from them, but at least they could avoid the subject of A/S use instead of pretending to be naturals just to have an excuse not to be anywhere close to the elite.

my point of view... and i'm sticking to it!
