You don't know me from anyone on this board, and the more I read you, the more your inexperience in so many things glares at me.

Right now, I am single, and happy with it. I HAVE been through inordinate stress in relationships - any of you ever hold your girlfriend's hand (and heart and soul) through cocaine addiction and rehab? OK - for that matter I was taking care of her kid too - senidng him to school, helping him with his homework. I'll tell you, it's not easy.

At that time, I did it because I loved her...and I know what that means. I know what it's like to wake up in the middle of the night and feel someone breathing on you - and know that her very presence is the best feeling in the world.

Been there. Done that.

I have been in numerous other relationships. I've lived in New York, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Louisiana, Seattle....and I've dated someone (or several someones) from each locale. I know how petty things can get with women. I know how they can be really childish over the stupidest of things. I don't have time for any of it, and I don't see why anyone else would either. But countless people tolerate it. I do firmly believe that a good relationship is one of the best things out there - having a mentally and emotionally strong person to share things with is awesome. But it is rare.

I've seen 99.9% of the bullshit that goes on in relationships. I've dated single moms, inter-racially, long distance, lived with a girlfriend, older, younger, from "old money" families down to dirt poor...and so on. If relationships were a drink, I would have spilled more of it on myself than most people will ever consume.

Petty bullshit has no place in my life. Not from guys, not from women. If I was dating a girl who was so insecure that she checked my posts on a chat board, what else is she insecure about? I wouldn't wait to find out. I don't have time for that shit anymore.

It goes on. Most women are, simply put, not worthy of me. That may sound arrogant, but I am a mentally as well as physically fit person who is currently moving aggressively toward the things I want in life, and I'm doing well in those pursuits. I'm not willing to settle for something, or to tolerate very much bullshit, in any pursuits. I don't do it in work or in the gym, so why do it with my companions?

Where are you getting the ridiculous assumption that you need a girlfriend to have sex? Sex in a relationship can be something women will use as a bargaining tool - talk about childish....single life does not mean no sex....it means less sex, with more people.

So back to your original silly post - my reply is often "dump her" because if she is aggrevating you enough to tell strangers about it, she isn't worth your time. Unless of course you have nothing productive to do with your time......and brother, I do.
