THIS IS THE BEST WAY I CAN DESCRIBE THE NIGHT I HAVE JUST HAD ...I WENT TO THE SOUND FACTORY...I ARRIVED AT AROUND 1230AM..I HAVE JUST GOTTEN HOME IT IS NOW 805AM...THE PARTS IN BETWEEN MY NIGHT WILL SUM UP MY TITLE...I WAS DANCING ..CHILLEN AND FEELING AMAZING ALL NIGHT LONG...SO MY FRIEND WANTED TO LEAVE SO WE LEFT....WHEN I ARRIVE BACK AT MY CAR ,...WHAT DO I SEE...YES THATS RIGHT ..A BEAUTIFUL BROKEN WINDOW .... THE CONTENTS OF MY TRUCK ..WERE AS FOLLOWS....2 CELL PHONES MY FRIENDS BANG WITH CREDIT CARDS AND WHAT NOT IN IT ...ALL MY CD'S AROUND 150 OR SO....MY $600 ALPINE CD PLAYER ........AND MY 15INCH SOLO BARIC SPEAKER IN BOX AND AMP...ALL GONE ...A FEW ASSORTED NOTHINGS...BUT YOU ALL GET THE PICTURE...JUST GOES TO SHOW YOU ....PEOPLE IN THIS WORLD HAVE ZERO RESPECT FOR OTHER PEOPLE'S SHIT PEACE KB ------------------ "modus operandi" "hesitation is the mother of all regret"     | ||

I know EXACTLY how you feel Brotha KB. About 6 years ago when we moved to the house we currently reside in (we moved from what was quickly becoming "New Jack City" to a wonderful suburban neighborhood with decent people and an excellent school system) the afternoon of my oldest daughter's family b-day party - we go out to our car, which was parked IN FRONT of OUR HOUSE was broken into. Wedding band, engagement ring, and camcorder.....all gone, driver's side window smashed. Can you imagine how we felt? Here we moved to what we thought was going to be a WONDERFUL neighboorhood, haven't been here for more than 2 months and THIS HAPPENS! Long story short, it was the one house across the street were there were some kids who were in major trouble w/the law and their friends (even though we couldn't prove it) who were responsible. We think they thought that because several days prior they were out in front of their house, loudly partying and somebody called the police that because we were the "new people in the neighboorhood"...WE called the police. So they were trying to send a "message" to us not to fuck w/them. Utlimately, when they were hanging out in front of their house a few days later, my husband approached them, like a man, and let them know in a "don't mess with my family 'cause I know you asswipes were the ones who did this, but we're going to let it go 'cause we have insurance and we ultimately HAVE to live across the street from one another - if it happens again, though - WE WERE NOT THE ONES WHE STARTED THIS TIME, BUT IF THIS SHIT CONTINUES WE WILL FINISH IT AND IT WON'T BE PRETTY" fashion that you stay on your side of the street and we will stay on ours. We are a family with little kids and we don't need this shit. They were eventually in some other trouble and got arrested and the house was sold to someone else. This is a wonderful neighborhood, the insurance replaced what was stolen and those degenerates are gone god-knows-where. (Like how my long stories get short?) Let it go. Don't dwell on negativity. What comes around goes around. The scumbags who did this will end of dead or in jail or WHO CARES! Your life is grand. Rise above it. ------------------ | ||

I know how that is.. when I was vacationing a couple of years ago in San Francisco our rental car got broken into, they popped the trunk and took my laptop...$4000 laptop. | ||

Hey I am sorry to hear about the ripoff. I suggest anyone here on the board that reads this to get a good alarm system, that is if you value your stuff left in the car. Sound systems and other stuff left in the car is nothing you want to lose. I worked in the car audio industry for a few years and saw the heartbreak on weekly basis when our customers came to replace what was stolen. PLEASE PUT A ALARM SYSTEM, IT IS WORTH THE COST AND MAY SAVE YOU A FEW GRAND. | ||
