or mabye not... either way. But anyhow, I wanted to relate a story to everyone about leg day while under the influence of mind altering painkillers.I always wondered why people would use Nubain and such while they worked out? Fuck, I figure it would interfere with being able to really dial in on the muscle yu want to work, or cause sloppy form. So anyway, Im taking codine for pain and dont want to miss leg day. So I gather all my crap into my bag and go... Having years of experinace kind of made keeping form and isolating the muscles I wanted to work second nature, so when I was done warming up I started squatting. Years of abusing myself have led to a killer of a right knee, I mean that s.o.b. is VERY touchy. But fuck, I squatted 405 lbs free with no problem at all! Reps... ass to the floor... everything! Loaded the angled leg press up next. Filled the bitch and layed more plates on top. 900lbs, and geting good clean reps! Did my legs hurt? I have no idea! The thought didnt enter my mind. I was floating on a cloud of euphoria Finished off with leg extensions, which I normally wont do for the aforementioned knee reasons. The stack (250lbs.) for 3 sets of 10-12! I see it all so clearly now! Im not gonna start poping codine (or bain) before workouts, but every once in a while Im doing it. With the way I feel, I believe it could be useful as a plataeu breaker! Numb yourself from the pain of a weight that usually causes a lactic acid build up to quickly. Shit, thats what breaking a plataeu is all about... at least for us "natural" guys... Of course by natural I mean I dont have any geneticly engineered bodyparts. ------------------

Monster, thats not a real smart idea, if your blocking pain from codeine then your also going to block other injuries whether minor or major that could occur during your workout which in the long run would cause more long term damage, just looking out for you.------------------ SEEK OUT KNOWLEDGE, WISDOM AND UNDERSTANDING, MY THOUGHTS ARE UNIVERSES.... "You can find me in the GARDEN of SHAOLIN cultivating the TRUTH"-havoc THE TRUTH CAME IN FLESH AND STILL YOU DONT BELIEVE

Good point. But Im not making a habit of it! I actually enjoy the pain of a hard gruelling workout, the codine was for an unrelated injury. I was just intrigued by it, because so many people use Nubain and Vicodin when they work out. I never really could figure why, but now I see... I probobly wont even use them again. It kind of upset my stomach, and if MrsMonster comes looking for a little "post gym cardio", I want to be at peak performance.
