yo i got a summons to appear for jury duty on october 30. does any one know how i can get out of this? and how much is the fine for not showing up?     | ||

hehe I think they just say "oh must have been to busy to show up" and let you go. Make an excuse, money/transportation/whatever make it believable tell them you have to take care of an ill aunt and your the only one available to watch her.. Slopain | ||

They can put a warrant out for your arrest if you don't go or make other arrangements. It is the order of the court signed by a judge. If you don't want to be in it just tell them when they ask you if you like a race or sex take the non pc stance and be adamant about it. or tell 'em you wanna pull the switch. Better yet, put soap chips in your mouth and start frothing when they ask you about your feelings towards rapists and murder's. | ||

IS it a fedaral jury? county? if its federal it will be interesting most likely. County summons can be any piss ant thing, but it can be a murder trial....cool. ------------------ | ||

I just ignored it and it went away! Seems in Florida you are regiestered to vote automatically when you renue your drivers licence, and they pull from that list. | ||
