Is it true that Congress voted themselves a special retirement plan separate from Social Security, which they pay nothing into, but comes out of the General Fund?      | ||

If they have a special retirement not associated with Social Security then Congress has no incentive to fix Social Security. I wonder how fast Social Security will be fixed if THEY were in it. | ||

Johnny)...the bottom line is the Congress is there for the rich peoples that line their pockets with cash...thsoe rich peoples do not worry about social security because they have their own savings...hence congress doesn't either...but either way with an disproportionate age distribution in the US, the baby boomers are gonna wipe out social security and there is no solution unless you decide to tax us smaller population workers more......so all those taxes your paying into social security ...kiss them goodbye...or raise the federal dept baby | ||

Where the hell you people been. They did that over EIGHT years ago. Damn. They also get a COLA every year + a salary increase, which the voted themeselves. They also have a seperate health plan the all other government employees.....etc.. This isn't a governemnt for the people by the people and of the people this is the power of a select, well moneyed few playing the games they like best. WAKE UP! ------------------ | ||
