I'm wondering about this, too. After my last relationship, I am so hesitant to ever say "I love you" to any chick again. What does it mean? I don't think it shoudl mean romantic love, because I can fall in romantic love with a girl just because she has lovely clavicles. | ||

I don't think we have a realistic idea of what love is. Movies have corrupted us. It is all much more mundane than anything on TV. It's putting up with the little shit. It's affection. It's caring. | ||

i've been in love 3 times. after it was all over i've hit the deepest depressions in my life - even considered suicide several times. i don't really know what love is, but i know that i have been BROKEN because of it. i'm scared shitless of love. i feel very vulnerable as i can get hooked very deeply and feel some kind of energy that is greater than my own life. i don't know much about astrology, but i've read that scorpios can get that way. | ||

Wodin, I can identify with you and Robin Williams in Goodwill Hunting, my girlfriend, before I married her,(2nd wife) had developed toxic shock sydrome. I had to physically carry her into the hospital because she was too weak to walk. By the time I had checked her in they had four iv's going, anti biotics and couldn't find her blood pressure with any accuracy. They put her in intensive care for the next three days. There was a point when her blood pressure (which they took every 5 minutes) dropped to 40 over zero, and she got a real peaceful look on her face, I thought that that was it. She told me later that all the pain had gone and that she was ready to die. I didn't understand at the time why they let me stay in there until they moved her to a regular room. I asked the nurse how close was it and she told me that if I had been a minute later in bringing her in, she wouldn't have made it and that they let me stay 24/7 in intensive care with her because they weren't sure she would make survive. And of course my ex girlfriend. So I am quite reluctant to ever let that emotion surface again, I don't like being hurt. | ||

chesty - that's terrible. i would F-R-E-A-K if that happened to me. shag - you believe in chinese year signs? i think that's a crock, but there seems to be some truth in astrology. i guess that after studying people behaviours over a period of hundreds of years, you'll be able to make out some patterns. | ||
