Anyone ever tried to grow shrooms from those grow kits you can buy off the Internet. Kit comes with the seeds and everything. Just seems like it wouldn't be legal to sell shit like that.     | ||

i've heard it is a pain in the ass to get mushrooms to grow. you have to build a plexiglass box and check temperature and humidity and shit like that. you also run the risk of contaminating them and getting poisoned. | ||

Its a pain in the ass with the kits but if you get the cow shit shrooms are already growing out of it is really easy. All you have to do is keep it wet and give it some sort of light. ------------------ | ||

I tried to grow P. Cubensis and just threw the infected shroom cakes...4th time i've tried, i figure for an amateur its next to impossible. all looks good for 2 weeks then it all goes to hell with moldy infections...dont even waste your time, hand pick that stuff or [waiting =) ] grow em out of cow chips. | ||

also, i've read about people smoking dried mushrooms and its supposed to give a strong tryptamine-like trip for about 25-30 minutes, but i've also read it did nothing to some poeple...anybody tried it? | ||

those shroom kits are the real deal, had some buddies that got them when i was in canada, get a copy of Cannabis Culture and order one of their kits if your worried about fake shit. | ||

Yeah i mean the kits work, there's nothing wrong with them...i've even seen people post on newsgroups that the strains from the kits are more powerful than picked shrooms... if you have the time, equipment, and money to put into it, go for the kits i guess...go to www.shroomery.com and read up about growing them, its harder than i thought it would be. I ordered my spores from PF (Pcilocybe Fanaticus) located in seattle, i got the package in the mail in 5 days. apparently the spores last forever...mine were ordered over a year ago, and they still produce mycellium when added to substrate, but i just dont have the proper equipment and environment (not to mention dedication) to grow them inside from the kits...so to each his own, but since i'm just wanting the cheap experience, I'll keep checking the mail =) |
