I would say hands down AC/DC Prior to Brian Johnson. But I would group in those albums Back in Blac and For those about to Rock. But by far and wide the best would still be prior to Brian Johnson. Songs like, Jailbreak, Sin City, Squeeler, TNT, Dirty Deeds, Whole lotta Rosie (about an ugly fat chick by the way), She's got the Jack...

NIN will be one of those bands that are much more appreciated 15 years down the road. Trent Reznor is a frikking genius

NIN is probably my all time favorite, but the new stuff sucks. The Chili Peppers, Pink Floyd, Phish, Blink 182, Nirvana, Dave Mathews, Radiohead, and Junior Vasques ------------------
Guru Posts: 2974 |
Yeah Treant Reaznor is a genius, but have you noticed all his songs have the same theme? That boy must a got jilted something fierce once upon a time.

The first time I listened to "Hurt" I fell on my knees and cried like a baby.. music makes me very emotional. The only other piece that did that to me "Adagio for Strings" by Sam Barber.

Yeah your right H, I forgot about NIN. When the hell are those guys going to come out with a new CD?

Dre and Snoop? Their music is fun, but I wouldn't call it great... 100 years from now music students will be studying Trent's chord progressions and microtonal techniques.

fucking cool to see some nine inch nails fans on here...that's my favorite band of all time. i'm not a huge fan of the fragile, that's my least favorite album but everything before that is good stuff, especially broken. that got me through some depressing times in life. ------------------

Next NIN album comes out October 24. Its a remix album of the Fragile. Then Trent releases a DVD of the Fragility tour in November Radiohead album is ummmmm weird to say the least. They followed Trent's steps with what he did with "The Fragile" and tried to make something that you wouldn't want to listen to. The album has no songs that seem like they'd be commercial hits. Gotta love bands that have the balls to do that. NIN also has material to release a new album next year and Radiohead supposedly has material to release two more albums in the near future. Cant wait for the new U2 on Halloween- looks like it has a chance to be their best album yet.

Now: Rage, Pantera, 3-11, Limp, Creed Then: AC/DC with Bonn Scott - Let There Be Rock, Problem Child, and Highway to Hell make me feel fifteen years old again, with long hair, earring, etc. For the Montrose fans, I agree...there is no heavier, grungier, or more rockin' riff than the opening chords of Rock Candy BTW: Van Halen with David Lee Roth or Sammy Hagar?
