In a recent poll, Al Gore is leading George W. Bush by X points. In another recent poll, George W. Bush is leading Al Gore by Y points. In another recent poll, George W. Bush and Al Gore are tied.

Am I the only one who thinks that these polls are misleading to the unintelligent population of the United States and may have an effect on their choice for president?

These polls are based on a population of about 600-1,000 Americans who are speaking for the rest of the country. I'm not sure how many registered voters there are in the United States, but the population is over 200,000,000! The people also say that the polls have a "small" margin of error. I don't know about you, but I don't care what statistical methods you use... unless you are polling a group of clones, there is NO WAY that a sample group that is less than 1/10 of a percent the size of the actual population is going to have a small margin of error in an opinion-based poll!

Watch a buncha people go: "Hee hee! Look! Al Gore is 'winning!' Let's vote for him!"

How sad...
