Now unless your gym plays techno(good but not great) then you are missing out on some shit. It is too hard to get that last rep listening to "Opps i did it again".

Today was my first day with a cd player and let me tell you bastards i havent had a work out like that in months. No looking at chicks, no having to hear other conversations, no fucking "bye, bye, bye" or that stupid fucking song "who let the dogs out" I wish someone would kill that guy. I thought i was working out hard before but its a whole different world when you have some metal playing.

slipknot is to me the best fucking music to listen too next to pantera. Listen to some fucking metal or go home cause you are wasting your time. (just my opinion)

I swear to God Moe, you work out in the same gym I do. That canned crap plays on our loadspeakers too. I'm waiting for my Nomad mp3 player, Its the size of a CD player and holds 6 hours of music, which is 4 1/2 more than I need at the gym!

I thought i had good concentration too, but after today I realized i didnt. When you have music blasting in your ear it makes you feel like you are there all alone. Does me anyway.

i feel a new cd every 2-3 weeks or whenever it gets old is essential to every cycle for maximum workout intensity..i have always done this but i too noticed when i popped in slipknot for the first time well oh shit i couldn't move the next day..it was just a bonus that it was downloaded from here and the the song #4 on the album was recorded getting faster and faster as the song went..that set me off

i totally agree moe.

i always wear headphones and listen to metal or goa trance. it makes my workout much more intense.

want a tip for increasing your concentration and intensity by ten fold? drop half a hit of blotter acid half hour before you train.
then crank up your cd player and get ready for a fucking kick-ass workout!!

Decibel: I've done a lot of acid and I bet you could seriously kickass in the gym on .5-1 hit. But of course...not good for you long run.

Yea, it totally gets you into your own world. I agree completely. There is this KORN song it #8 on this cd I have, and the lyrics are just fantastic against KORN. Really great energy to get in the squat rack with.

====

Fuck you titty suckin, two balled bitch
With a fat bruised clit
Oh shit, fucking, ass licking, piss sucking, cunt
These nuts on your lips
Kentucky fried kung-pao clit

Saggy tits swinging between your fat, crusty arm pits
Big ass hairy mole between your pussy lips
Cunt, shit, cock, dick, cunt, tit, barf, piss, balls, ass, pecker, queer
Oh shit, fuck, bitch, damn fuckin diarrhoea slut, with HIV

But now I found what I really wanted to say...

Fuck you -- Bitch

fractal - yes, of course you can't trip all the time, but every once in a while it's good to get a really intense workout in.
i never take more than one hit, though. more than that and the weights will be melting on you ass!! i also don't do it when i'm planning on lifting crazy poundages in free squats or other shit where you could get hurt.

I agree about having hardcore metal/trance to support your ego and concetration. you fucking feel like a superhero walking to the drinking fountain with hardcore shit blasting in your ear during a workout!!!!!!!!

I listen to music before a workout, but never during...the beat of the song would be different than the rep speed/tempo of the set, screwing up my concentration.

It isn't about concentration, they blast that lovey depressing moody shit long enough its called brainwashing. Before you know it your not as pumped (mentally) as when you stepped in the gym. You find yourself sitting for the next set without that KILL IT mindset sometimes.

MP3's are the key.

Most(90%) hardcore bodybuilders are metalheads, same over the top attitude. My fav training music at the moment, SLAYER "Angel of Death", if you can't get pumped from the primal hatred in the opening scream, you can't get pumped, the whole South of Heaven CD, older Ministry "Just one Fix","Stigmata" and "Thieves", and that kickass Godsmack song "Bad Religion"
