Those other countries may not haveaas much material things as we do...but damn some of those people are true "humane beings"......Was in Vietnam, Ho Chi Men City...thought damn these people must fuckin hate us as I walked around their city that you could still see the beatin American bombs had takenon it and walked thru the streets where amputies sat....and ya know what....out of every place I have ever been...never have I met more nice, compassionate, friendly welcoming people.

I just think that alot of countrys citizens have a tendency to look up to US Citizens and sometimes I wonder why?

We give more foreign aid to other countries than any other country by a mile. Not to mentionm we place out troops all over the place (Haiti, Somalia, Bosnia) trying to help out. What do these places do for us?

Additionally there are legions of American organizations that do charity work.

Do you have any idea how much we help the world's economy? Many people are incessantly bitching about our "sweatshop" factories in Asia etc., but people never stop to ponder that the seemingly small wages we pay those workers are actually not unreasonable when given their surroundings.

These sweatshops actually create jobs and help the economy of the country in which they are built.

And so it goes. We give plenty back. But we can't solve all the problems.

Okay I usually come on here to express myself in a juvinal fasion. The more childlike, the better! However I felt the need to give you an adult response to this issue.

With that said.. her goes...

This country does have a lot of material wealth as does Great Britan. India as you have said has some of the poorest places on the planet. However these people for all ther poverty haven choosen to live in the situation that they are experiencing. And we have choosen to live in a very wealthy country to pursue our economic goals.

This does not mean that one is better than the other nor does it mean that the people of India are suffering any greater or less than the people in this country. You can point to any situation and draw comparitives between the two situations and declare one to be better off than the other anytime. You can also then turn around and change your criteria a bit and the results can flip!

For instance if you were walking along the banks of the Ghangis and saw a man/woman who looked emasciated, like the just stepped out of a famine, and they are by all visible means extremley poor and filthy and survive on the meager scraps of food, and bird shit that they can find. You would think this a terrible thing to let happen in this world.

What if this person chose this path of existance. They are called Astetics, they live in India this way in order to acheive enlightenment. This is there path in the world. What if they didn't voluntarily chose that path then? Somewhere this person on a subconscous or conscous level must have choosen this in order to ahcieve there kharma in life.

Also many of the people in Inida believe that the worst possible thing to be born as is a WHITE ANGLOSAXON EUROPEAN MALE IN AMERICA..don't get cocky women are next on the list. To them this is the lowest rung on the kharmic wheel of existance due to our obessession with material greed and wanting. For them this place would be hell to be born to.

My point is that you may want to expand your viewpoints on the world for every situation is not black and white. There are infinite degrees of greay in between these two extremes.

I have a very limited view to India, I have never been there personally, but know from stories of my Aunt who was born and grew up there till she was a teenager...

She grew up about 1 hr from the Kashmir(spelling) region...She learned english in a British Private school before moving over. Her faimly was pretty well to do, and based on the Cast system she had alot of advantages...Her faimly moved to the U.S. because they thought they could live a better life here...I have alot of respect for her faimly her dad started out doing grunt work here for a fraction of what he could have made staying there...He built himself back up and owned a few business around houston...This past Dec my uncle went with her to her Brothers wedding back there and said it was the Worst place in the world he could have ever been...He lost close to 40lbs in 1 month of living there..said it was the best diet he could have ever had....He ate the best foods drank the best liquids that country has to offer...He also had stomache problems that the makers of Malox and Pepto could never dream of....

But he said they were some of the warmest people even to him being the White American married to the woman who was considered a heritic to her culture....He believed that even though those people have so much less then we do, they are pretty happy...They have Far less accidents in that country because they have No Health care...It makes alot of since...No health care means those people have to be alot more carefull not to get hurt or sick...
