What are my options?

Is there a best brand?

Where is the best place to purchase them?

Now much would I need to spend?

Had a great time paint balling the other week-end and would like to purchase one for myself.

I own an AutoCoker after all the customizations ended upo paying about $1,400 for everything, if you are just going to play for fun, buy a Tippman98 ($170)
or a Spyder ($160) they are good easy to work with guns and you don't have to be to good with tools to take care of them.

Are they semi-autos or pump actions?

And which would you advise for just shooting with your buddies.

what other equipment would I need

for just shooting with you buddys I would say a Spyder or a Tipman98, other stuff you would need would be::

- Face Mask
- a Harness to carry more paintballs around
- a Squeegee to clean your gun while on the field
- a Cleaners kit to clean your gun at home

A word of caution, Paintball is more adictive than this board!! I started playing with my buddys for fun and moved up to playing amateur games and driving 12hours sleeping in a hotel room to play tournemts the next day.

And you ain't kidding about addictive (normaly I would be out hunting deer)but man Stalking people in the woods or setting up and ambush for your friends beats that hands down!!

I step in with a tournament grade professional gun and its like Splat Game over!
my gun can shoot up to 9 balls per second and I pride my self on having a 6 ball per second triger pull, plus the fact i can shoot the nutts off a squirrel and trowing in the fact that I have a mean ass sprint to a shoot move and slide timing!!
