Previous threads seem to indicate that we've got a few folks on this board who are on anti-depressants. My question is this: who is currently on an antidepressant that is not giving them any sexual side effects?     | ||

paxil killed my orgasms. EFFEXOR HCL has not given me any side effects at all for 4 months now. feel free to e me if you want any more details. msg | ||

Try Celexa. Suppost to have less over all side effect than Prozac & Zoloft. Plus not affect your blood flow as much as the others. ------------------ On my word unleash Hell!!! | ||

Serzone is a SSRI inhibitor antideppressant its in the same class as prozac & paxil but does not effect sex drive.It is also used for mild anxiety. ------------------ Bros before Hos SIG EP 4 LIFE! | ||

Puc, I'm going to look into Effexor also, but I'm already on a low dosage of Serzone (combined with Paxil), so it might be easier for me to transition and try that one first. Scott, what was a good maintenance dose of Serzone for you while you were on it? | ||

They all have sexual side effects, but, they don't affect all people the same way......obviously some work better for others and vice versa.....so, saying this anti-D and that anti-D has no sexual side effects, is not politically correct.... | ||

Well serzone is prescribed to people specifically that do not want their sex drive interfered with. I was on about 400mg a day,200 in am & 200 ------------------ Bros before Hos SIG EP 4 LIFE! | ||

Hey KikAss, I hear you, but it's also true that if a med induces sexual probs in a great number of people, it increases the probability that it'll induce probs in me. Of course, only trying it for myself will I know, but I'd rather get some anecdotal evidence from real people before I give my money to the pharmaceutical companies. ---- Had a rough weekend: I weaned myself off meds and had a great couple of days, but then the depression hit, as it happens every time I try to wean off. I am sick of being on this shit. I need to try something other than Paxil cause I'm sick of my orgasms being "okay." Am already on a low dose of Serzone to help with the Anxiety, but I'll speak to the doc about using it to phase out the Paxil. Also looking at Effexor and Celexa. Thanks, all. | ||

It has nothing to do with blood flow. It was just an expression. Anyway I've heard in Clinical trial Celexa did less damage than Zolof, Prozac, and Paxil. It also has less interaction with other drugs if you are using anything else. This was a while back on 20/20 or a similar show. Good luck bro. ------------------ On my word unleash Hell!!! | ||

all ssri's affect sex drive some more than others some so little you dont notice. the only one that doesnt is wellbutrin. and theres a new that just came out in the spring i forget the name buts its not an ssri ------------------  | ||

do you guys by your anti-depressants off the net? i have just seen one place in thailand that sells generic prozac for $27US for 30 tabs 20mg delivered world wide, i was actually thinking of getting some for special occasions, can this drug be used to just give you a perc up on odd occassion or do you have to take it consistantly |
