Just finished watching the Olympics and noticed that alot of the male runners had substantial muscle mass. Most runners are skinny. How do you think they keep the mass on with so much cardio ? I always thought that running=major muscle loss. | ||

Most of the runners with mass are short distance athletes, also remember the suits they wear bring out alot on a persons physique and tv makes you look sharper in all areas as well, lets take Maurice Green for example, in practice he will never run more than 400 yds for any type of practice preparation so most of his training wouldnt be much of a cardio workout as opposed to others. ------------------ | ||

Running does not always mean substancial muscle loss. running is NOT bad. if your trying to GAIN mass then it's not the best idea. but it's not going to make you shrink | ||

They run off the fat so you can actually see the muscles. I believe short distance runners have some kind of weight program too. |
