I went jogging this morning and a dog came out and bit me on the leg. I turned around and chased him off with a few rocks and went on my way. The dog was not foaming at the mouth or anything, if fact the dog was more like in a play than an attack mode. I don't want rabbis so can I wait till Monday to see the doc or should i just forget about it all together?

If he was rabid he you of most likely continued to attempt to bite you. Was not there, but I bet you are right and it is somebodys pet wanting to play and you scared the shit out of it whatever you did. you did not play like his master. Shit he was not expecting shit flying at him(rock). The master usually tosses the ball away from him not at him. hehehe!

I bet everthing is okay, but I'm sure some are going to say go to the doc. i personally would not.

If it pierced the skin, check it out. If not don't sweat it. If you get it checked out, the doc is going to call the police and they are going to kill the dog to test if it has rabies or not.

A big rottweiler chomped on my left thumb a few years back...pierced the skin, big laceration and blood gushing out everywhere. I didn't get it checked, and it seemed to take about a month before it looked decent. It was a stupid move on my part---should've got it checked for possible infection. The stupid bitch was put to sleep though, hehe.

Thanks guys. It looks more like a small scrape. I'm not going to mess with it unless it starts to fester. Any early warning signs for rabbis?

If its not bleeding you can't get rabies. You'll start to feel like you've gotten the worse flu of your life, and you'll start to chase cars..hehe
