Had mine for a few years now - a very expensive hobby but I love it. New Bigscreen tv, speakers, dts amp, bigger armoire to fit the tv, 100+ dvd collection, 200w subwoofer. Anyone else hooked?

I am, I have started out with a 36 in Toshiba, Yamaha sound system, and an Hitachi DVD with active scan.

I am going to start building shortly a true home theater, with a 110 inch front projection screen, all digital sound system and a special room for view movies. I will have also a similar system but for day to day viewing that is 72 inch, rear projection, progressive scan and digital sound system.

Once you experience the sound of a digital system everything else is flat. I don't even like watching regular tv any more or renting videos, they are boring!

I can't wait for the 7 channel systems to hit the market.

Just a few things MrM. Waiting for the new house before I hook up the new 80" Mitsubishi big screen. Its still in the box, and driving me crazy wanting to pop its cherry. I love to show off! I've got three subs and a pair of NHT 1.5s for the rear not pictured. I started off strong buying DVDs and I've got close to 200, but have slowed down this summer to play outside. Time to start buying again I guess!

DVD's are freakin' awesome. They're addictive little suckers too. I've really had to restrain myself from going nuts on Amazon.com lately.

Yo Rotten, Nice setup. You should check out the new belloggeti line of furniture. I have two older pieces and love them. Also check out the forum at www.dvdtalk.com I go by "Berkowitz" there. (Dahmer got kicked off for language??!!) I have been wasting money buying DVD forever now!!! I have over 200 of them and counting. I have a roomate that is heavily into hometheater. He goes nuts. My setup is Rotel pre-amp, Denon 5000 DVD, Sony CD changer, Parasound 6channel amp THX cert. I have all speakers from NHT. Except the sub. It's a Paradigm servo15. All synergistic research interconnects. My carzy roomate went nuts like I said. He bought a EAD pre amp and amp. A full set(5) of JM Labs speakers and also has a Servo15 and a Denon500 DVD. He has like 500-600 DVD(???) and he is looking to upgrade!! This shit is one stupid, expensive habit!!! But it's all worth it when you see Saving Private Ryan in DTS!!!
