Hey guys what are some good excuses you have used to call off of work with.I have a good job and I'm thinking about calling off one day next week to spend with my girl and I wanna have a good excuse. Thanks, C     | ||

ahh the good old "Mental Health Day". I love these things, they are my Raison D'etre at the moment. Anyway, It all depends on the company you work for, what are the policies concerning sick life, abscences, that kind of thing. Plus is your boss a pretty cool guy or a hard ass, that plays a big factor too. Look into this and post some more work details and then we flame, I meand advise you on what to say. ------------------ | ||

i cant remember where i read it, but it said to tell a lie that puts you in the worst light for credibility...their example was explaining how you had a hemorrhage from an anal sex experiment gone bad...and you were in the hospital and are deathly afraid of your father finding out....good luck... | ||

Not too sure on the call off policies here cause I've only been here a few months. All the other guys that started with me have called off already. My boss is cool as hell I'm sure I won't get in trouble its just I wanna not look bad for using a lame excuse. | ||

We had a guy call in once and say his cow got lose! What ever. Go and just ask for the day off. If you give enough notice there is no reason that they shouldn't let you have the day. You don't have to explain you just need the day to do something. If they won't let you have it off after giving them time and notice, they are not a company worth working for. Always better to play straight. | ||
