The thing is I spend a lot of time looking good. It follows that I want my clothes to fit on me as well. My trouble is that I am short at 5'7" but have a big chest and legs with a 30" waist. I have real trouble getting nice clothes to fit

In Europe a lot of designer clothes just don't fit. I buy CK a lot (50 here in UK = $75 U.S.). All the European stuff (Versace etc.) is made for long thin legs.

Does anyone have this trouble or know of a decent manufacuter that makes jeans/clothes to fit guys like us?

Failing that a good CK 'source' would be nice. I am told in US CK go for $35!!

Not to 'sad' a post I hope!

Cheers

I feel REAL bad for ya'!....Do you hear the world's smallest violin playing just FOR YOU?

Seriously, I feel your pain. Even though I am a grown woman with ample butt, back, arms, etc.....I STILL shop in children's clothing stores. It seems that even though young girls tend to be smaller than grown women, they have not succeeded in robbing their bodies of mass through starvation and yo-yo dieting as the grown-ups have. I am a children's size 14 off season and a children's size 10 - 12 contest. Even bulked a ladies' size 6 that fits in the seat, it tight in the thighs and HUGE in the waste and FORGET about getting the zipper up on a dress - it is HUGE in the waste - WAY TIGHT in the butt and simply will not accomodate my back.

Good luck and good shopping!

Join the club, try a 29 inch waist with 31 inch quads, you know whats funny is that the so called "extra baggy" or "giant fit" or whatever you want to call them whether they are pants or jeans fit me pretty damn well. Just find a tailor , lots of places do it for free, Armani does your shit for you, most Neiman Marcus stores do it for you.

Bikinnimon- So true. I guess women are not suppose to have a butt or thighs. All clothes seem to be made to straight figures with no curves. I have the same problem, too big in teh waist tight in the butt. Its an Alley McBeal Anorexia conspiracy!!

When I was 5'8" and had a 42" waitst. I couldn't find anything that fit.

Now I am 5'8" with a 31" waist. I can't find anything that fits.

I want to shoot myself in the head.

bikinimom... How tall are you? Are the pants in the childrens department long enough for lik 5 7 or 5 8? And they fit better in the butt and waist?

I'm a little shorter than you Sista Shagwell - but the pants are sometimes a bit on the long side, and if we're talkin' shorts, dresses, skirts, tops, it's ok, believe it or not. And yes, the pants do fit better in the butt and waist. Of course, you have to try a few different styles on, but on the whole I have better luck at Limited Too and Children's Place than at Gap or Limited!

I'm 5' 5" with a 31" waist.
The local Short man's store doesn't have good pants for me, because my inseam is 29". But off the rack pants have a rise for tall men, so the crotch of my pants hangs too low. I hate that shit.
Shirts are easy, except being broad across the shoulders with a relatively thick neck still results in sleeves that are too long.

I'd like to know how the hell 5'7 is short? I must be a midget standing at 5'6
My jeans have to fit tight in the ass...I love that.....so, to buy them big enough to fit my quads properly, and, being as I am a self-made tailor, I sew my jeans to fit my shape......I've even tapered shirts before to fit me the way I like.....

You guys think you've got a problem? I wanted to fucking move to Smurfland when I was younger, 'cause I could find nothing that fit me at 5'2" and 145 lbs. I'm now the same height but weigh in at 170 lbs (waist still 28). I finally realized that all these short shops were a waste of time, so I found myself a quality tailor, with whom I'm now good friends. Shirts, pants, jeans, jackets, you name it: he alters all and then some. He also helped me find other experienced tailors, really professional folks here in the city (SF) who do an amazing job. Btw, people (girlies especially) will notice the difference right away. IMO, there's nothing worse than a short dude with clothes don't fit; it just looks so fucking retarded.

Well I'm tall and skinny and have really long legs so it's pretty much impossible to find jeans that fit me good. I have two choices: 1. fit in the waist but too short
2. to big in the waist and just long enough to my liking

shitty shitty deal!
