I'm thinking of getting into camping, hiking, biking, etc. I think I could get in touch with my caveman side. All I know now is city life, I need to get back to my manly roots.

yea...i'm in east tennessee so there are great places to get out to here. Its not just about having the gear. it takes getting used to...living with bugs, being dirty, not being comfortable. funnest camping to do around here is just hiking to a good spot at the top of a mountain and sleeping just on a pad, makes you really appreciate it all better than being housed up in a pretty nylon tent with a fluffy sleeping bag.

If your wanting to get into mountain biking, don't waste your money on a dual suspension, go hardtail

I like to camp out on a sandbar by the river and fish all night long. Build a fire and you dont need a tent sleep on the sand. Of course its better with some friends, and a cooler of beer. Also bring along a rifle, you never know what unlucky critters you might come across.

I stalk though the shrubbery in my neighberhood and then I jump out in front of people and scare the bajebus out of them. No costs for any equipment either!

Definitely try Mt. biking/Offroad.
You can incorporate camping, hiking, biking, fishing, everything. Man, I went up to a mountain, UnCompagrehe, in Colo. Loaded up the saddle bags on the bike, tents, etc. and did a 3 day, 70 mile trail around the mountain. Absoulutely the best time I ever had. Even did a little climbing.
My advice, check it out.........

Mmmm hmmm. We'll be outdoors, indoors, in the bathtub, on the balcony, in door ways, in public restrooms...
