The main reason I started lifting was for football and baseball. I liked it a lot and was also on the weightlifting team. Now that I don't play sports anymore, I am starting to get more into bodybuilding. I still like lifting heavy and enjoy being strong too.

I enjoy lifting and running, mountain biking, softball, some basketball, and the love of my life football, right now Im just really trying to put on some muscle. But I dont consider myself either one. I do it cuz I enjoy do'n them. For me its more a battle against the other guy in the mirror who looks back at me and my health.

Well I played my last year of collegiate basketball at 225lbs, 5'10 , around 5% bf so although I am extremely jacked up I still have all my athletic attributes as far as speed , vertical and anything else, so I consider myself a 240lb athlete nowadays, my athleticism is solid.

Bodybuilder. Consider how I train, my goals, the fact I'm gonna do a show next year and the fact I haven't participated in organized sports in years.

I consider myself an amature bodybuilder. I lift for myself. I want to get as big as I ever possibly can with the genetics I've been dealt. I eat like a bodybuilder, I train like a bodybuilder, and I live like a bodybuilder, but I will never compete.

Bodybuilder, plain and simple...
I have some real good lifts, but in the end I dont care. My friend is about 160lbs and has a 300lb bench, but once we leave the gym, hes still 160lbs. Im 260+lbs no matter what I bench!

Walking in the mall, looking at some guys girlfrined as they walk by, and she looks back and all he can do is nod to you and grab her hand... that is what its all about. A 350lb bench, or a 500lb squat isnt going to do that for me, so I dont worry too much about it...
Am I superficial... Yes.
Am I shallow... Yes.
Am I possibly the true embodiment of evil personified... Yes.

haha.. and his calves.. I always tell him I could put shoes on my hands, and my forearms would be bigger than his calves... haha, Im sorry, but this is cracking me up... I was just teasing him today... but really, I just want to have an imposing physical apperance. I couldnt care less about anything else.
I eat 5,000+ calories a day, I give 100% in the gym, I LIVE the physical lifestyle, to get back only some big lifts and no head turning muscle from it would be a waste of my time...
(but please dont take this as an flame against 160lb guys in there busting their asses! I love you guys and never turn away anyone who asks for advice. the guy Im talking about WILL NOT work legs, he just wont. he does a few chin ups and that back day. he's so lean it looks like he has this little taper, but its barely there, and he has NO thickness, you can see his damn ribs! So I tease him... you gotta have a hobby...)

Yeah, thats why I had to add the part about the gym and all that... shit, I could use synthol or something to have big fake muscles. But I love training balls to the wall at the gym.
I have yet to leave the gym without my shirt drenched with sweat!

Well, I guess I have to admit this... I may start boxing again (just recreational sparing, no hopes to fight pro), so mabye I'll have to put a tiny little check in the "athletic" corner...
BUT its still all about looking good!

Uhmmmm.....does running after four kids and running AWAY from my hubby qualify me in the "athlete" category? Maybe not, I guess. I mean, shit if I was such an "athlete" would he have caught me all those time? tee-hee

Nah, I'm all about the physical appearance.
