Mb, you have dysmorhpia, the belief that no matter how big you get it will always seem small. I go 6'3" around 250 and I think I look small.

Pam, size is a matter of personal choice among all people, men and women,

Lisa, like the new name.

MM, You don't look it to me! I put you near 6'0 around 180 in my view, which is like Mbs view.

Bro

I'm 260 pounds and I still think I'm 190. It never satops, even though when I look at smaller people I realize that my arm is bigger than their waist.

Even if you were 350 you;d feel small. It never stops.

Matt

Wodin: Thanks

Pamela: 5'4 and 124lbs and you think you're huge? Hmm...I can't say for sure.....I suppose it depends on your body shape and how much muscle you have......
I count myself lucky because I've always had a well-proportioned body,,,even when I had mroe fat on my body then I do now....it was all spread out good.....now being the size and shape I am, after losing alot of bf and such, I can actually appreciate my figure more in the fact that I have nice broad shoulders and my hips aren't big and my waist, while it isn't small, it's nice with my body......
O yes, I have a nice ass too!!!
Pardon me, but, i'm quite of full of myself today

I'm 5'10" and about 165lbs. I get guesses in the gym that range from 175 to 195 all of the time. People are always amazed that I'm actually 165lbs. I take it as a helluva compliment.

5'8" 185. Most people guess about 165, unless I wear a tight shirt, then the estimates are normally pretty acurate.

When I look in the mirror I see a ball of dough. 250lb or so turd. But, hey, dismorphia keeps me motivated.

5'6", 140 - most females think I weigh 125-130. The men don't tell me what they think I weigh and I don't ask. I'm very pleased with the way I'm looking lately. Building, building building!

I'm 5'10" and anywhere from 230 - 250 depending on the season, earth rotation, wind and gravity

I personaly think that I look like a 180lbs guy, probably because I see myself everyday in the mirror (2D). However everybody tell me that I'm the most muscular guy they've seen in real person ... I have a hard time believing it 'cause I always perceive myself as being much smaller than I am.

I think that it's a normal thing because:

1) We see ourself everyday ... thus the image we have or ourself is relatively stable, thus we don't see our size evolving.

2)Admit it or not, we bodybuilders are highly competitive peoples (you have to be if you wanna get better IMHO) and as such we will *always* see other guys as being better than they are (cause we tend to notice what they have more than what they have not) while we will *always* judge ourself much worst than we are (by thinking only of our weakenesses).

3) We are used to seing ourself in the mirror and when we do so we are generaly alone without any point of reference. So it's no surprise that the self-image we form will not be objective, and since we tend to be more critical than anything our self-image will basically suck (or be worst than what we actually look like).

4) In social situations we see the other guys while we only "feel" what we look like (because we don't see ourselves) which can cause yet another distorsion of the physical reality.

5) When we see parts or ourselves in social situations we see most of them from higher which can make these parts look smaller, especially when compared to other people's parts seen from a more even level or another angle.

I'm looking bigger as I progress. I felt good about myself last nite. I went out to buy long pants and tried on the relaxed fit. They were too tight cause my legs got bigger. Had to get loose ones. The trees are growing. I may not look as much as I weigh, but I sure as hell hit like I weigh twice my weight.

I was at Cedar Point yesterday, went up to one of the carnival weight guessing booths...just for the fun of it. Chick guessed me at 176lbs. I was like BIATCH!!! I am 214lbs and 9%!!!
Anyways, it seems to me the leaner you are the smaller you look in clothes, but the better you look naked! So I am told anyway. Buffed the magic Dragon has it right. It is all perception.

I'm usually lean as hell and I believe that the lines and shadows create the impression that you are bigger than you really are. Just my $.02.

People associate weight with size, very few understand that less fat and more muscle will have you weighing more than a person with more fat and less muscle. That whole density of muscle thing eludes them, oh well. I'm 6'0 and weigh in at about 175, just got done dieting down. People have put me inbetween 160 and 200 lbs, whatever. They really get annoyed when I tell them I have a 31 inch waist. hehe
