Can someone please explain why all of these wealthy, elite, actors in Hollywood always seem to support the Liberals? I just dont understand it. I make a decent living but I prefer less govt. and less taxes. But yet all these Hollywood icons seem to lean far to the left. The only people that I can think of that vote Republican are Arnold and Heston.     | ||

apparantly they dont have to work very hard for their paychecks so they have an overwhelming amount of guilt which is why they dont mind the govt confiscating half their income | ||

There are supposedly a lot of others that vote Republican, but they stay quiet about it so they don't hurt their careers. That being said, Hollywood is still extremely liberal as you have stated. ------------------ | ||

It is because Hollywood fears that conservatives will try to limit what they can say and what they will be abkle to publish. Also, staying in the Lincoln bedroom would be kind of nice. Matt | ||

and if anyone dissagrees compare the Supreme Court for the past 45 years and compare the major cases that were decided and then compare the Rep vs Dem court appointees then tell me that at least it isn't a valuable observation...

True conservatives want nothing to do with censorship. It is when you bring religion into the political ring that the right really runs into trouble. However, to say that Republicans take more of our rights than Democrats is ludicrous. What do you think REGULATIONS do to us? They place us under the government's thumb and the pressure is never relieved by the left, only the right (i.e. Reagan in the early 80's and the newly elected Republican Congress in the early 90's...before they wimped out). Increase the tax load and you rob us of more of our economic freedom. Create segments of society dependent upon social services and you have people beholden to the government for their livelihood. ALWAYS vote for your and your neighbor's freedom. ------------------ | ||

Dude, I know that true conservatives are not out to censor. But it is a perception. Right or wrong it exists. Another factor is that for some reason, famous people often try to identify themselves with a cause. I don't know why this is, but watch the speeches at the Oscars one year - these actors/actresses lamenting the problems in East Timor, which they probably can't find on a map anyway. Democrats are the party of causes and handouts. I guess if you make a lot of cash and are high profile, you start to believe that people actually care what you have to say. Matt | ||

Fuck Hollywood, they r all a bunch of babies. Now they r goping to go on strike. "Oh, I only made 19 million for that movie, what the hell, I should make more" Alls I can say is cry me a river u fucking pansy BTW, If it were possible for Arnold to run for pres, would u vote for him? I sure would |
