face it, this guy is gonna break danny's records at the rate he is going. he is unreal. however, its gonna be very similar to dan too. if he doesnt get that big rb, he is gonna get spanked and never win the big one. i love drew. i think he is the best qb out there if given time. manning is going to be the next montana, and drew the next dan.

That statement is the height of foolishness. If Bledsoe throws for 48 TD passes in a season, or 5,000 yards, then he can be labeled the next "this". Manning/Montana - unrelated. Manning was a #1 pick, Montana was a third round long shot. Matt

its hard to be underrated if you throw more INT's than TD's, but he is usually underrated the first half of the season, then he averages 3 INT's a game the second half. ------------------

Stats show that he should get sacked about 96 times, or some number close to that, this year. Plus he throws too many interceptions. [This message has been edited by Rexie317 (edited September 11, 2000).]

take a look at the career yds and completions for the first part of dans career and drews... also, take a look at how drew has thrown more picks the more he gets sacked.. its natural. watch him play. watch how he has to get up way too much and yet puts the ball where it needs to be. say what you will.. but if this board is around in 10 years, i will definitely remember this and will be the first to point out his career numbers. dan marino never won shit, drew will not either at this rate.
i cant believe you mentioned him with manning. that is sick. troy isnt half the qb manning is. troy never was. pizza mans wife could take dick and play qb for the offensive line they had in dallas.

ok, since matt thinks he is all knowing, here are some stats. oh, and take a deep look at the picks if you want, you may be surprised. PLY comp att yds td int DM 2174 = 3650 = 27853 = 220 = 125 DB 2218 = 3960 = 26183 = 148 - 123 let me point out a few things, yards per attempt is dan. drew has 300 more passes then dan did at this point... AND TWO LESS PICKS!!!! so dont tell me he gets picked off all the time. dan KILLED in td's... that mark will be tough to get for anyone. yards is only dan by 1500, if drew stays healthy he DEFINITELY has a shot at it. my point was this: you heard so much about danny, how great he was blah blah blah... but he never won the big one... drew hasnt either and had a shot too. drew gets very little national publicity now. dan always got a ton. drew has the second most yards in history for his first 7 seasons (i think) as for aikman, fuck him... standing firm there. dont like him, never will, never have... fuck him!!!! i already made my point. dont agree? fine, but why??? dan had better WR's then drew. drew has had ONE good one... and a good TE for the most part. duper and clayton over t glenn any day. also, imagine if drews favorite target was a deep threat wr instead of a TE... he could explode with another quality WR, or a quality RB, as with martin when he was there.

one more thing, rexie... the thing they showed was if he got sacked 6 times a game. if that happens i will cut my own dick off and chew it while pole vaulting in the snow.

Bomber, Just let Bledsoe finish out his career and see if his numbers are comparable to Marino's. Projections in the NFL are silly because one blindside hit on Bledsoe and he could be a vegetable. Or he could be like Testaverde and get injured all by himself. Regardless of whether or not you like Aikman, Manning is more similar to Aikman than he is to Montana. Both were #1 picks by struggling teams, both are tradtional drop back passers who could read a defense well, etc. I guess next up comes the comparison between Marvin Harrison and Jerry Rice. ya, cuz marino wasnt pegged as great 7 years into his career? numbers to this point dont lie. like i said earlier, i will repost this when his career ends, which looks to be soon with that line he has. as for harrison and rice, dude, fuck you man, flat out. and by the way, manning moves every bit as well as montana. does what he needs to to help himself and his guys out. he knows how to win, just like montana.. that was my point there.

bledsoe is an awesome qb, the problem there is that he doesnt have the the most talented receivers in the league but does well wit hwhat hes got , and he doesnt have that much, another thing is that there offensive line is really hurting right now so the7y cant ge tgood protection,if it wasnt for bledsoe this team would be in the same category as teh saints ,browns, and 49ers |
