The key to a complete physique is a solid balance of all body parts, everything must come together. The majority of lifters have solid upper bodies but their legs look like pixie sticks(a sad fact indeed). To tell if some one has a strong WILL and DRIVE(in the bodybuilding aspect of course)take a good look at their legs. Respectable Leg development is impressive, it shows that person has an amazing work ethic accompanied by desire and the love of nausea. Legs are what wins contest and they are the main factor of a balanced and complete physique. Today is my leg day, every Friday is, I will attack the fucking gym today as I do every friday with the intent of making my legs look not only huge but robotic if you will, any time I enter the gym I have just entered my Bitch because that is what I make it. Next time you train legs add a little something here and there, get those bastards to grow, stop walking around with pixie sticks like the majority, be unique. Damn straight Havoc! Did legs last night. If people are not staring cause they think your either crazy or stupid, your not training them hard enough! If my legs are not sore for atleast four days I am mega pissed and consider it a bad leg workout. | ||

My legs are now big... you don't bike 150 miles a week without big quads. I have to work on my upper body, as well as try to get that separation on the calves. | ||

Legs are my best bodypart. I just read that post about ass to the floor squats, and so I tried that today. It doesn't hurt my knees like I thought it would have. I had to go down in weight a lot, but the burn and the satisfaction of doing it right were great. I swear that I can feel blood glucose going down with each squat. I fall down a lot after squatting. People laugh at me. Fuck them. | ||

A rather large bb friend of mine spotted me doing legs at the gym on Tuesday and said I needed to take some plates off the leg press because I was embarrassing some of the guys there. legs was last night.....every thurs. for that matter......I did ATG (ass to grass) squats....which I don't make a habit of doing.....didn't feel it in my knees at all....I think I will continue to do 'em like that.......also, I put a major *sting* in my calves too.......I walked home as if I had 50lbs. tied to my feet.......I'm not sore as of yet....but, I'm sure to be later.......when DOM's set in, the pain feels like menstrual cramps.....an achin pain all over the damn place...... | ||

I do the front squats as well.. pretty painful. I rather bike in a hilly area for quad development, but from where I live the closest hills are in New Ulm which are about 80 miles away. | ||

I have leg day tonite...in about an hour or so. I hit them pretty hard but not like some people do. Man i'm nervous already...just thinking about it. I squat my body weight which is 155...for about 2 sets of 8. So I guess i'm not too bad. I look like I weigh about 120. | ||

Conan,front squats ROCK!! Here's something for the hardcore worshippers;For about a year now every fifth week I do squats only on leg day.Set after set of whatever type squat I want on that particular set,Breathing squat(try em),front squat,25 reps,3reps,chains,one leg squat etc.......just let your instincts guide you from set to set and have a bucket handy. Typically I'll take the next leg day off(try it and you'll see why) and then start a new program.I won't even get into not being able to drive home or climb stairs for a week,you've been there. I am maybe 2 months away from squatting double my body weight plus 50 lbs for 5 x5. I'm probaly too proud of that but fuck it,I work my ass off for it!! | ||

Breathing squats are where you use a weight you can do about 10 reps with, do that, then rest, do a couple more, rest, couple more, rest (not very long rest periods) 'till you get to 20. If you're brave enough to try it...Fuckin' A. | ||
