I just have to rant a bit here. If you have ever sat in a room full of heroin addicts and listend to them cry about how cruel life is to them for an hour then you know what i am talking about here. I have to goto 3 meetings a week FOR GROWING FUCKING DOPE! 1) hot chicks with more problems than a run over dog. 2) people crying This was my 2nd meeting and with 23 more to go it will only be a matter of time before I bring a bat to help ease everyones pain. I have as much empathy for people as a person can have, but dont feel sorry for your fucking self, shit! ------------------     | ||

i could go on for days about the cult called AA/NA...check out SOS (secular organization for sobriety)...by law, the judge has to let you attend them if available...basically you are being forced to attend a christian church group by the state....it will get worse with time....i feel for ya bro... | ||

with that n mind i have a friend who's been going to AA for years. He says they revised some of the 12 steps and little sayings as to not make it so obviously Christian. | ||

Flame if you want, but AA/NA has really helped me get my shit back together. You guys are grossly oversymplifying the program. If you don't like it, suck it up and deal. One of the major chapters in the AA "Big Book" is entitled "We Agnostics." You do not have to believe in a Christian God to get stuff out of the program. If Dan Duchaine's your "higher power," then so be it. Sorry, but it just irritates me when people grossly misinterpret the program. Yes, you'll here the same stories over and over again, but if you don't like the meeting that you're going to, then find another. |
