today was my first day back in teh gym in about a week im gonna do chest and legs i start off with chest i did the cable go over to where the db's are and some chump has like 6 sets of db's around his bench and was only using 20's i ask if i can use the fourties for a few sets of db press the guy snaps at me like im trying to steal his shit im like whoa simmer down bro so i had to use bb today which was ok ,this guy just pissed me off being so greedy,anybody else experience that? ------------------ ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ||

Excuse me for this comment, normally I keep my sarcastic side devoted entirely to poorly composed hormone cycles and diet. But, If I remember correctly your the 16 yearold who posted his pseudo "GQ" pictures on chat and conversation. From what I could gather you couldn't weight more than a "buck O' Five" with the longest pair of 12" wrists you call arms I have ever seen; no insult intended to the former member by that name. You seem to be under the impression that your an intimidating force to be reckoned with. This is only my opinion and not that of the others In here. Sorry to offend. You little shit :)

your'e 16 with 15 inch guns right. wrong. just 1 inch in surface area(skin) will either add a lot more to arms. I think you have your math wrong. I think that the only ways to have arms like that are roids fat and a big load of BS. no flame just wanted to clarify reality. If you really had 15 inch arms your tris could let you handle 70lb or 80lb db with not so well chest but if you are the typical teen you like to work chest more than any thing else. just try to widen your back and add some beef to those quads. how much can you squat at your max. all the chest teens never have even touched a squat rack before. get wide is the priority not chest. that is the way to look better too. ------------------ ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ||

I swear to god, I missed something! C.Oak is being disrespected, when (unless I am indeed missing something) his identity was mistaken, and he didn't do or say anything to offend. He clearly (at least from the impression I got) is not a teenager who trains chest and biceps 6 times per week. Guys, please tell me if I'm crazy or ignorant or what, but it seems as though Oak got pretty ganged up on for no reason. Seems like a guy who works hard in the gym and happens to be young. Hi my name is chris and I'm a dumbell hog... 'Hi chris'... I've been hogging dumbells for a few months now. At first I was like, it won't happen to me I can controll this, but thats what everyone says but before you know it you are running the rack on a set of dumbell curls with 5 different sets of wieght all around you. HAHA!! Really though I'd rather hog the dumbells and work hard than have them fall into the wrong hands (like that wifebeater boy,that every gym has, who is doing curls and wondering why i'm bigger than him eventhought he's older than me and been "working out" twice as long) ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ||

Damn right! I was BLASTING my triceps and chest today, so I did nothing but drop sets! I had like 5 DB's in a row at a time. I'd never do this if there were other lifters wanting to use them though. Of course, out of the 5 other people in the gym this morning one of them had to be the "wife beater guy" you described. He fuckin' tries to snatch one of my 20lb DB's that was the last in a long line of 'bells I had lined for my gigantic triceps extension drop set. Well, that didn't happen, so he went for the 15 pounders instead, and started hurling them around in what looked like a frenzy of incline flyes and presses all at once! I saw him in the corner of my eye - I was on the 50lb dumbell in my drop set - and almost dropped the 'bell on skull out of shear shock at what I was seeing. my turn to speak. first- hey oak... why train chest and legs same day? if by legs you mean hammys quads and calves... thats way too much work for a day. second-mystic??? what are you talking about? arm size has shit to do with strength. warren moon had nothing special and threw up 400 for reps. some people are smaller and stronger and some are bigger and not so strong. first off we are here to help everyone... second i am 16 too and i am 140 pounds with 13 and 1/4 inch arms so he sure as hell beats me but it has nothing to do with stregnth...there are some guys in my gym who were making out with 155 when i can do the same thing and there arms must have been much bigger than mine...all i am saying is dont judge anyone but there stats because they could be a hell of a lot better, stronger etc.. peace ------------------ ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ||

This is hillarous stuff. Oak a word of advice. Next time you have this happen and beleive me it will happen again. Ask the person if they are doing a progression workout without any rest or something like that to see if they really need the db's handy. If not then just take them and say you'll bring them back. No big deal usually, if I'm doing a progression of sets though without a break I don't want to have to get up and down to go to the racks for db's. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ||
