Ive been training on and off since i was 15 (now 24) & ive been training like a psycho for the last 2, but its left me with stretch marks on the underside of my arms and a couple across the shoulders. Is there a way of avoiding them or is this just the price u pay for being a big mofu? Cheers in advance guys, BTW fucking love the sight. ------------------ IP: Logged |

Does the vitamin E oil clear them up or simply stop them from getting worse? Just about every big guy i meet has them. I had my left arm covered by a tattoo & those on my shoulders im kind of proud of. Battle scars & all that. I just wanna worn the younger guys here that sometimes your skin has a hard time keeping up with your muscle growth. But hey tattoos rock so WTF. Later IP: Logged |

The vitamin E will completely take some away but then on other stretch marks it wont do jack shit. I personally dont have any that are visible(lower back and upper leg and hip insertion is where mine are located)but my friend has plenty on his shoulder and chest insertion(usual spot)and he used the Vitamin E oil and it worked on some and some stubborn ones it didnt do much for. ------------------ IP: Logged |

You should be able to find it at any type of health food store that sells supplements or at a pharmacy next to the glass bongs. ------------------ IP: Logged |

Brotha Freek - I got some bad news for ya'. Stretchmarks are the result of skin that has been "pulled" beyond what it's "give". Does this description help? The way my doctor described it to me is that your skin has been pulled from the inside (the skin has many layers) and for whatever reason, be it genetics (not enough elasticity), aging (again, elasticity wanes as we age), or rapid weight gain (or should I say SIZE gain) and it was not allowed enough time to stretch slowly - so it ripped. Yes, folks a stretchmark is a "rip" in your skin. The reason that no topical solution (especially one that is OTC) will not get rid of stretchmarks is because OTC remedies are by law not allowed to be able to penetrate the outermost layers of the skin and because the skin has been damaged from the inside, out (not the other way around - you can only SEE them when the damage has reached the surface) no cream or oil will do any good. Vitamin E may help to fade the appearance of them over time but will NOT CORRECT them. And how do I know this - 'cause I've had four kids and if anybody knows stretchmarks - IT'S ME! My strectchmarks don't bother me in the least. I wear them like a badge - I EARNED those BAD BOYS! As far as BB stretchmarks go - they just come w/the territory! Not a blemish - merely experience! FreakOfNature - you can buy Vitamin E oil at WalMart. I got mine there a couple of years ago when I had surgery on my ankle. It's in the pharmaceutical section. The Vitamin E oil helped to cause my scar to fade tremendously over time although it's still there. ------------------ IP: Logged |

I wish I had the 'problem' of stretchmarks. Mine is the exact opposite; you see I used to be a big fat tub-of-sh**, so now I have all this loose skin. It's completely tightened up everywhere but my abs. After all, your midsection tends to get smaller when you get in shape while the rest gets bigger, so now my abs look like crap even when there's no fat on them, like after a cutting phase. From what I've heard extra makeup around the mouth works, if not just put a bag over your head. J/K Tanning can work to hide stretch marks. I got them once right under my arms, but they went away after a week. Come to think of it, I would'nt mind getting some more if it ment I was growing. IP: Logged |
