FYI -

Guidelines changed for giving CPR

WASHINGTON (AP) - Medical experts say people giving emergency CPR should skip taking the pulse of heart attack victims - since they
often get that wrong anyway. They recommend chest compressions to clear an unconscious choking victim's airway. The changes were
included in a new set of cardiopulmonary resuscitation guidelines announced Tuesday by the American Heart Association in an effort to speed help for heart attack victims by streamlining emergency procedures. "These are lifesaving measures and we wanted them to
reflect the most up-to-date science," said Dr. Rose Marie Robertson, president of the association.

I remember giving mouth to mouth to dummies for my CPR class in school. As a matter of fact, when I think about it, I have made a good career out of giving mouth to mouth to dummies, my present girlfriend excluded of course. Interesting info, Fitnes1
