The manager at my local GNC phoned me 5 minutes ago. I've got an interview on Wednesday! I'm pretty sure someone here works at GNC, so I was wondering how is it? What kind of benefits and discounts do you get? p.s. Wish me luck!     | ||

I work at a GNC as a part timer. I get a 30% discount on anything in store, and I also get commission if I sell certain items. It can be fun at times working their, but I see far too many uneducated people buying crap there. | ||

Yeah gnc is a easy job. just tell the guy you are a good sales person and outgoing. that is all they are looking for. plus all the managers hook you up fat with what ever you want when the shipments come it. | ||

I just started at one 2 weeks ago and I like it a lot. I work for a corporate GNC so I started at 7 an hour, franchise pays minimum wage. All in all I average 10-11 dollars an hour after commision | ||

austin i think you got that backwards. the corp. is min. wage. The franch. are $7 per hour. We just took over a franchize and that is how they did it. | ||

at my gnc the guys are retarts (not saying anyone who works there here is) but they were telling me that creatine puts carbohydrates into your muscle and it takes like 2 months to start to work...just dont lie because the guy at my gnc just makes up bullshit to sell shit and get commision good luck with the job ------------------ | ||

um, 7 an hour corp. store??? only if your assistant manager. i worked my way up pretty well... quit a few months back. GNC as a work place is ok, if you dont have to deal with the RSD's all the time, or with mike meyers or ted detrich. they are cock suckers. especially ted. i wanted to bust that fucks teeth. most gnc's start you out low and dont train you for shit. you need to know NOTHING to work there. its easy though. and anything returned can be taken home (dont let people know about it) cuz its not on inventory. have fun there man, dont take anything too serious, you cant make a career out of it, trust me. | ||

I agree with you on that one 100%! This is far from a career, just a change of pace from my old job so I've got some pocket money all through school. Hell, when I'm finished my education, I'll buy a fuckin' GNC! Also, thanks for that advice on returns - that's some good shit to know! p.s. I think my interview went well, but now I'm fuckin' nervous. I want that job - I'm sick of working at a shoe store!! | ||

heres a little gnc shopping tip, whether you work there or not... find a GNC that has a vitamin world in the same mall, or across the street. those gnc's are called competition stores. they actually can LOSE money on national brands (eas etc..) because they have 4000 stores backing them, a handful losing money wont hurt and when they drive the competition away they take that business and go back to full price. anyway, here is an example of prices. xenadrine is 39.99 at a regular store, 29.99 at a comp store. myoplex deluxe is 64.99 regular, and 36.99 competition. um, cell tech, the big one is the price of a small one at the comp stores. diet fuel, is about 12 bucks cheaper at comp stores. hell, i bought it one time (without my discount) for 19.99 for the large bottle AND the small one in a shrink wrap pack... and for the guy who has to work with mike meyers... KEEP MOVING ALL FUCKIN DAY. dont kiss his ass, everyone else does. watch your boss come in wearing knee pads so he can suck his dick. | ||

as for returned stuff.... YOU CANT KEEP IT LEGALLY. i am just saying if you leave with it, nobody will know cuz its not on inventory. as for buying and returning yourself... thats tricky. since you gotta put your number in the comp thingy when you ring it up, your number will show up on the rcpt. and then you do a return on your number. and they figure shit out sooner or later. best bet, have a buddy buy shit from another store and return it to your store, and instead of leaving it there, have him take it home with him. god damn i have a mastermind at scamming that place. DO NOT TELL YOUR MGR your taking stuff home from the returns. he will be pissed and not trust you. i fired someone for it, however i did it all the fucking time. mike meyers is a dick... its his company basically. he makes a ton of cash, so he wants to see his workers working. he is mightier then you and will act like it... i personally hated him. i told ted detriech what he could do with his job. |
