Diamonds burn a hole in your pocket, forget that idea, just suprise her with something she would of never thought you would get her, maybe a weekend somewhere exclusive just for you two, hot air balloon ride isnt bad either, give her something that she would be like" where did you get the idea to give me this", whatever it may be. take her to a nice hotel. get her butt naked, blindfold her on the bed, and then bring a good friend out of the hotel closet he was hiding in and both of you go at her at the same time, she will never forget the good time!!!! Just because guys can have a good time w/2 girls doesn,t mean your girl can,t have a good time either. Plus keep the blind fold on , she will never know which one of your friends it was. IP: Logged |

Talk to her, and really listen to what she says. Believe it or not, the most special gifts my husband has given me didn't cost much more than his time invested in doing something that made me feel special. The comment about the diamonds was to illustrate this example. If we had a lot of money I would still much prefer a gift from his heart rather than a gift from his wallet. (I'm his wife I OWN THE WALLET DAMMIT.) I'll give you a really corny example: At my first BB competition my husband brought my girls and they presented me with a sash (my hubby bought some wide red ribbon and glued FIRST PLACE MOMMY in gold letters and cut out a picture of our girls - which he actually recycled from a Valentine that I had made for him earlier that year - and also glued it at the top of the sash) and a cheapy little dime store tiara and said that even though I only took second I was the best and the prettiest one! I've always had a silly childhood fantasy of being a pageant winner and getting a sash and tiara - Miss America or whatever ....If any of you Brothas laugh I'll punch you in the head! ...anyway. They did this out in the lobby of the theater in front of everybody and even though I looked really silly I wore the sash and tiara all night long. My daughters and my hubby were so proud that I at least made it to the stage regardless of where I placed, I was special to THEM! ...and to make it doubly sweet it just so happens this "Kodak" moment occured in front of certain individuals from the "industry" who had taken advantage of me a few weeks prior. That person might have some $ and may have had some celebrity but they will never have what I have had all along: a spouse who despite my shortcomings loves me, and children who despite all the mistakes I have made love me!
