I so strongly urge each and every one of you here to make sure you are physically capable of handling speedy type diet pills. I am pretty sure my heart is capable because I have had physicals and can run a sub 6 min mile. My 2nd best friend died sunday morning. He had been taking some metabolife shit for around a week or a bit more. He was 280 or so pounds, and apparently it was too much for his heart and already existing high blood pressure. He collapsed at work and was taken to the hopital, where he was pronounced dead of heart failure. I'm fucking 18 years old and already i've had a friend die from physical complications. bad enough to be a car wreck or something, but basically he had a heart attack. Partially brought on by a goddamned diet pill. Please you all, know what you are putting into your body and be positive your body can handle it. If you are already overweight, do not overexert yourself too much to lose weight, a steady diet with weight training will do the trick, over a long period of time, which is usually safe. I've always heard stories of diet pills killing people, thought it was bullshit too. well now its not, and I have to go watch one of my closest friends in the world be buried at 10am tomorrow morning. I hate reading things like this....that's terrible bucky, my condolences to you and his family. Scott is right. Many people do not realize that ephedrine is a POWERFUL drug, not an 'all natural herbal supplement.' Do you know if he was abusing this product bucky? IP: Logged |

sorry to hear about your loss bro. i don't know the guy or his situation but maybe he took it to extremes. perhaps his heart was not 100% healthy in the first place and overdid the diet pills. regardless though, you have my condolences... ------------------ "The greatest risk is not taking one." Sorry to hear that man. Many people think just cause something is "natural", it's safe. Poison Ivy and Hemlock root are natural too, but I wouldn't supplement with them. Just because it's from Mother Earth, doesn't mean it can't kill you. IP: Logged |

I don't know if he was abusing it or not. I am not saying that its dangerous to use if you are already healthy, though long term use may not be the best idea. He hadn't been on it long, and he knew nothing about fitness. I guess the combination of already existing bad health and high blood pressure was just pushed too hard when a stimulant was introduced. I've gotta finish getting dressed now for the funeral, but I just wanted to tell everyone that, so if anyone is reading this who is trying to get in good shape, make sure you are definately ready to put this stuff in your body. bucky- sorry to hear that...what a sad way to go, trying to get in shape....the most common way to die from stimulants is an aneurysm, a weakened area in a blood vessel that pops when under high pressure...you can be completely healthy and not know you have one...again, my condolences... ------------------ IP: Logged |

Bucky thats soooo horrible especially when my friend is on Xenadrine with a heart condition...I am gonna steal her bottle and explain this story to her...My deepest condolences to you and your friends family. This isn't meant to sound like an asshole comment, though it may come out that way, but your friends family should talk to a lawyer b/c they probably could have a huge lawsuit...Kind of like the phenphen case. Tragic - To die so young and so unnecissarily. Why are so many willing to die to be thin? From what I understand people are now getting hooked on these "fat burners" Stacker 2, 3, xenadrine, etc, etc - pop some pills and all of your troubles will melt away like magic. Nobody got out of shape overnight, why then do people expect to undo a lifetime of sedentary behaviour and poor eating habits overnight? Let's starve, stick our fingers down our throats, exercise obsessively, take whatever pill is the newest "cure", do whatever fad diet is the rage - damn the consequences! Wake up people - external beauty does not bring happiness or peace. These come from within. Easy for me?!...NO, I STRUGGLE DAILY. But this is not about me.... 30 pills at one time!?!?!? That is a massive load! like 7 times the regular dosage...I'd say thats way too much ephedrine and caffeine at one time. probably dangerous. IP: Logged |

sorry bro... but i want to say something to the people talking about law suits... their are clear warnings on the bottles, it clearly states that users under 18 should not take it, and an endless warning for people with pre-existing conditions. i think every one should know themselves before they do anything.
